Freeview channels have just recently changed again.Not listed on here is G.O.L.D. on channel 17,SDN/COM4/MuxA,also not listed here is Home on channel 26,SDN/COM4/MuxA,as well as unlisted on here ESPN on channel 34,SDN/COM4/MuxA,non channel Adult Section now on channel 91 (from 92)SDN/COM4/MuxA,Adult Playboy now relocated to channel 99,SDN/COM4/MuxA,previously channel 194,SDN/COM4/MuxA,now currently a blank duplicate displaying details to re-tune,non channel Adult Section on channel 189 SDN/COM4/MuxA now deleted,TOPUP Anytime 1,3,5,6 on channels 307,309,310,311 respectively all unlisted on here as such on SDN/COM4/MuxA.

These are the changes that were only recently implemented to the commercial multiplexes as far as i am aware on SDN/COM4/MuxA from Belmont on frequency 30,Emley Moor on frequency 51 and also from Winter Hill on frequency 58,plus ArqA/COM5/MuxC from Belmont on frequency 53,Emley Moor on frequency 52 and also from Winter Hill on frequency 61,and finally also from ArqB/COM6/MuxD from Belmont on frequency 60,Emley Moor on frequency 48 and also from Winter Hill on frequency 55.

Denzil Dexter,Poole.One possibility of your difficulty in what you mentioned the ArqA/COM5 multiplex on frequency 22 from the main Rowridge transmitter is your first post,you stated your aerial is a group W wideband aerial (tipped black) plus you use a 17db-27db mast head amplifier as without it you lose the channels you stated.
First of all Rowridge transmitter is an all group A mast and the group W wideband aerial you are using is largely of little use on an all group A transmitter within a poor/marginal reception area within Rowridge itself,especially on the lowest frequencies such as what you described earlier in your first post.
Your best remedy at extra cost is to replace your group W wideband aerial and possibly your mast amplifier (retain the latter just in case) and buy a group A Yagi 18A or preferably for slightly extra gain in your location a group A X beam XB16A aerial with black coloured superior copper-copper co-ax cable and importantly brass co-ax plugs.
If you did decide to follow the above then position your new group A aerial (X Beam preferred at your location) if you decided to proceed,vertically.If you still find the gain a wee bit low then try your mast head amplifier as a last resort,however you may find that a new group A X beam aerial with new cable and plug what i described above positioned vertically at your location aimed at Rowridge should do the trick.
One reminder i forgot to add a group A aerial will be tipped red and only group A aerials should be used on an all group A transmitter such as Rowridge itself in a poor/marginal reception area on this mast.

Frank.One possibility is your aerial cable could be deteriorating if your antenna is mounted externally.If it is,then what you described could be water ingressing into your aerial cable in rain/wet conditions,and the higher frequencies are the most worst affected as such.If that is the scenario then your aerial cable needs replacing.

Mike.Hard to say without a full postcode or nearby location.I just did a check on the D3+4 multiplex on frequency 44 from the main Emley Moor mast and there is no poor signal you stated as such.If anything the signal quality on that multiplex is reading 100% while the signal strength reads 71%.

Thomas,Leeds.I would look up single frequency interference.Check if any relays near your location are broadcasting on frequency 51,that may be one possibility.

Your point is correct.The 87kw restriction on ArqB from Emley Moor on frequency 48 is necessary to prevent the possible swamping of the lower powered pre-digitally switched Mux 1 10kw multiplex also currently broadcasting on frequency 48 from the Pontop Pike main transmitter.This restriction ends in the early hours of Wednesday 26 September 2012 when DSO2 is eventually completed at Pontop Pike after Mux1 is forever switched off as a result.

No,Bilsdale along with Pontop Pike and Chatton are still broadcasting analogue and low powered digital signals until DSO1 commences on Wednesday 12 September 2012 and DSO2 concludes two weeks later on Wednesday 26 September 2012.All three above North East England main transmitters switch simultaneously.

Jeff Rees,Alresford.The post code you gave at your location although in Hannington area but you receive Rowridge denotoes three free analogue channels,59,60,61.
Just out of interest you stated you pick up Rowridge,is your aerial a group A type (tipped red) or a group W wideband aerial (tipped black).You may find that if you were using a group W wideband on an all group A mast such as Rowridge in a poor/marginal area you may find that group W widebands have an inferior performance on the group A frequencies on an all group A transmitter as such.Also is the polarity of your Rowridge directed antenna horizontal or vertical.At your location you will find a group A vertically polarized aerial either a Yagi 18A or X-Beam 16A will give perfect results,provided the co-ax cable is copper-copper and the co-ax plug is brass.
If your current situation is perfect then there is no need to change,if not then the above advice i gave is worthy of consideration.

Correction to my above post.It should be BBC HD on programme channel 54 not programme channel 50 which is BBC One HD.Apologises for my wee error !
