Paul Parkes: The is no recent engineering work showing for The Wrekin transmitter. Have you checked that your amplifier is still powered on and functioning?

Kevin: Assuming you mean channels 58 & 59 on Freeview (ITV Be +1 & ITV 4 +1) these are part time channels which only broadcast for a couple of hours overnight and mainly exist so that ITV can reserve those channel numbers for future use.

Ian Clark: If you lookup the transmitter you're receiving, you'll find the frequency listed for each multiplex (BBC Four HD moved to COM8 a few weeks ago). Freeview uses 8MHz channel bandwidths.

T. Thomson: Try asking the broadcaster, this isn't their website.

Sean Quinn: The NI mux is broadcast from Black Mountain on C39+ (618.2MHz) and covers a roughly similar area to the main PSB/COM muxes from Divis. The working link to the Black Mountain page is Which Freeview channels does the Black Mountain transmitter broadcast?

Ruth bowman: This appears to be your first post on UK Free TV, which is an independent website that has no connection with the BBC or any other broadcaster or transmitter company. There isn't a separate version of BBC Radio 4 for Scotland, so could you clarify whether you meant BBC Radio 4 or BBC Radio Scotland.

P.S. Posting your phone number in a public viewable comment was completely unnecessary and is never recommended.

js: My reply was in response to Ruth bowman's post about DAB, not Freeview, where there is only one UK wide version of BBC Radio 4 on the BBC National mux which has no localised versions of any service. I gather that what is now BBC Radio Scotland started out as the Home Service (later to become BBC Radio 4) with Scottish opt-outs, however it has been a completely separate service for many years. The aim of my post was to see clarification as to which station was being affected, which was unclear.

John Hobbs: According to the post above yours, there is engineering work taking place. Do not attempt to retune, your channels will return when the work is finished.

nick horrex: Anyone who relies on their aerial for reception (i.e. doesn't have satellite or cable) will be eligible for a free replacement aerial if they loose any of the PSB1-3 or COM4-6 multiplexes as a result of the 700MHz clearance changes (provided the existing aerial is in good condition and not damaged etc). The link below gives details of the Freeview Advice Line who will assist anyone who finds they have channels missing following any frequency changes at their transmitter and will arrange a free of charge engineer visit if the missing channels cannot be restored by talking the viewer through a manual retune.
