Unplug the incoming aerial cable from the back of your TV or set top box/PVR and check for any signs or water or corrosion, also check any other connections or wall sockets that the cable passes through.

Angela: The decision was taken by Sony, it has nothing to do with anyone posting on or reading this website, which is independent of any broadcaster and exists to provide technical help with TV and radio reception problems.

alan : There is engineering work showing from 7th February so there could be further work taking place which hasn't shown up yet, although it is rare for planned engineering work take place during the evening or over the weekend. It would be worth checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV, but do not attempt to retune as this will just delete your correctly tuned channels before searching for them again.

TERENCE COOK: The UK transmitter network was always designed to be received with a rooftop aerial. There are no known plans to build any new transmitters to provide new coverage (there are a few being built to replace coverage that will be lost from changes taking place at existing main transmitters, but none are planned for Suffolk).

peter rance: Humax have given you the UHF channel numbers for the Crystal Palace transmitter in South London, whereas it sounds like your aerial is pointed at the Bluebell Hill transmitter in Kent which uses UHF channels 46/43/40 for PSB1-3 and 45/39/54/32/34 for COM4-8 (there is also the lower powered local mux on 27).

peter rance: PSB3 on UHF 40 and COM7/8 on UHF 32/34 are DVB-T2 muxes carrying both HD and SD channels, the other muxes are all DVB-T carrying SD channels only.
