Jennifer: Do you receive a local TV station on either channel 7 or 8? If so you should also be able to receive True Christmas on channel 74, but you may need to retune if your receiver hasn't added it automatically.

david: As above, you will only receive True Christmas on Freeview if you can receive a local TV station on either channel 7 or 8. It's also available on Sky and Freesat.

JeepUK: Aylesbury BT Exchange was reported to be on air from 31st October with BBC National, D1 National and Herts, Beds & Bucks local mux. The BBC's DAB transmitter listings are in deed out of date but hopefully will be updated at some point. A516digital are generally good at reporting new transmitters when announced by Ofcom - see

Cathy Bowen: True Christmas on Channel 74 is not broadcast from most of the transmitters that cover Gloucestershire, although if you are within range of either Mendip, Oxford or Wenvoe you may be able to receive it. Ridge Hill (the main transmitter covering Cheltenham, Gloucester and surrounding areas) does not broadcast this channel, nor do any of the numerous relay stations.

PR: The UK completed the switch to digital TV back in 2012, in fact there are now only a handful of countries elsewhere in the world still using analogue TV. You will indeed need a Freeview box in order to use a TV which doesn't have Freeview built in. Although your TV may not be HD it would be worth getting a Freeview HD box as you will still gain more channels and avoid the need to buy another new box again in a couple of years. There also aren't many standard definition Freeview boxes available now, as most people who needed one will have bought one a few years ago. I use the Manhattan Plaza HD-T2 box with my bedroom TV (link below) which has worked well for the 12 months or so that I've had it.

David: There have been no recent changes to True Entertainment that would require a retune. Please provide a postcode so we can see which transmitter you're using and offer further advice.

Jane: The decision to remove Euronews from Freesat was made by the broadcaster. I suggest you make your feelings known to them (there is a link to the website at the top of this page). You can still tune Euronews in manually on most Freesat receivers, see jb38's post above for tuning details.

Lisatm1970: Try asking the broadcaster. This website is independent of any broadcaster and does not have access to any future TV schedules for any channels.

Dave Barber: Transmitter faults should be reported to the broadcaster concerned, however as there are no other reports of any faults with the transmitter it's much more likely that there is either a fault with your aerial system or you're suffering from local interference. Start by checking for loose connections, damaged cables etc behind the TV then work back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial. Also make sure that any HDMI cables are well separated from the aerial cable as HDMI cables are a notorious source of interference.

mr roberts: Do you receive a local TV station on channel 7 or 8? If so just retune and True Christmas should appear on channel 74. If you can't receive a local TV station then you won't get True Christmas either as it is broadcast on local TV capacity and is therefore only available where a local TV station is available.

Briantist: I never received a reply when I contacted Ofcom as per your suggestion, but it seems someone did take notice as Ofcom now have BBC National mux listed for Icomb Hill at 1kW.
