Leslie Dyche: 8MHz is the correct setting for UK Freeview, 7MHz is used in some other countries. If you still have no signal when the weather improves, please provide a postcode so we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter.

R POPE: The aerial should be vertical for Ivybridge, i.e. with the little rods pointing up and down.

Colin Richardson: There are no faults showing and no one else is reporting a problem so it's more likely to be your aerial that has moved or been damaged by the storm.

Bob whitehouse: This is not the website of True Entertainment (or any other broadcaster) so no one here can answer on behalf of the channel as to why they haven't replied to your e-mail or why they don't provide subtitles.

Mr Rogers: As above, dates for new transmitters to be switched on are not generally announced until they are on air.

Wendy barnes: There was work going on at Plympton last week so it may well be continuing today. Don't attempt to retune, but wait and see if the signal returns on its own this evening.

Nigelj: There hasn't been any announcement yet of a complete switch to DVB-T2, although the BBC have previously said they want their channels to be HD only in future but no date has been announced yet.

David Atkins & Nina Merson: There is currently engineering work taking place at the Plympton transmitter. This will involve periods of the transmitter broadcasting at reduced power or even being shut down completely to allow the engineers to safely carry out essential work.
