Yvonne Watts: We don't know which transmitter you're using, so it's impossible to say if any channels have been removed.

john craig: It's quite likely being caused by the hot weather. Do not attempt to retune.

Keith Parsons: If you are connected to a communal aerial system (which is very likely in a care home) there should be a distribution amplifier to ensure the all rooms have sufficient signal strength. Have you checked whether any other residents in your care home are suffering with the same problem? If they are, ask the care home to get someone to check the aerial system.

Kenneth Hodges: True Entertainment and True Movies have moved to the local TV multiplex, using spare capacity in areas where a local TV station is broadcast on either LCN 7 or 8. No such local TV stations exist anywhere in Cornwall.

Brian Gregory: According to Digital UK, Hannington's local mux allocations are UHF channels 32 and 34. It certainly won't be using 51, as everything above 48 is being cleared for 5G mobile services (with the exception of 55 & 56 to allow the temporary COM7 & COM8 muxes to continue for another couple of years).

Al Jazeera HD

Gary: Al Jazeera HD closed on Freeview a few weeks ago, only the SD version is now available. There is no HD version of Smithsonian Channel on Freeview, only the SD version on COM7. You will need a wideband aerial for reception from Ridge Hill, it's likely that you currently have a Group A aerial which is designed to receive the lower part of the UHF band, not the higher part where COM7 & COM8 have moved to (there is no such thing as a digital aerial - it's a piece or metal that doesn't know or care if a signal is digital or analogue).
