Robert: BBC Three is targeted at younger adults (i.e. teens to mid-30s) among whom the programmes you mention seem to be quite popular. I'm guessing that you're not in that age group.

Nicholas Anderson: It's possible to combine the signal from two aerials if they don't use overlapping UHF channels. If one region's signal is strong (i.e. being received from a local relay) then you may be able to simply point the aerial at the more distant transmitter and receive the local one off the side lobe. It can easily be done with one receive, the first region will appear on LCNs 1,3,4, etc and the other region will end up in the 800 range.
Although given that the only difference in output between regions in England is usually regional news and the local politics shows, it's probably easier to just watch those on iPlayer or ITV Hub where you can select any region from around the country.

Rex Watson: FreeSports is broadcast on the COM7 multiplex which is closing next month, so it really isn't worth changing your aerial to try and receive another transmitter. Nothing has been announced regarding whether FreeSports or any other channel will move to another multiplex or whether they will leave Freeview.

Dennis: Look for a retune option in the settings menu, rather than doing a factory reset. If you post the full model number of the Humax someone may be able to explain in more detail.

Richard Owen: Channel 5 didn't get BBC Three's HD slot, they just took over the channel number and used broadcast capacity that was previously vacant. BBC Three shares the same capacity that is used by CBBC channel up to 7pm in the same way that BBC Four shares with CBeebies. When BBC Three was closed, CBBC's hours were extended to finish at 9pm so there wasn't space for BBC Four HD to begin at 7pm and share capacity with CBBC HD. The spare capacity available after 9pm was offered by the BBC to other broadcasters however none were interested in broadcasting a HD channel that could only start at 9pm each evening. In Scotland, CBBC HD's hours were later cut back to finish at 7pm so that the BBC Scotland HD channel could use the capacity in the evening, similar to how S4C HD is now broadcast from 7pm in Wales, resulting in the the relaunched BBC Three only being available in HD from transmitters in England and Northern Ireland on Freeview (transmitters in Scotland and Wales on have the SD version of BBC Three).

Robert: Those shows are popular with the target audience. BBC Three isn't trying to attract older viewers, which presumably you are.

Martyn Bell: Norwich Central unfortunately doesn't even appear on the prediction for your postcode. Tacolneston is predicted to be strong on all multiplexes, with the only other prediction being a weak signal on the PSB1/2/3 multiplexes from Belmont. Is there anywhere you could position an aerial so that it looks around or over the trees? Otherwise it looks like Freesat would be the best alternative, which will give you most of the same channels available on Freeview (plus various others) via free to air (FTA) satellite. If your property has an existing Sky dish you may well be able to just plug in a Freesat receiver using the existing dish and cabling.

Des McIntosh : The COM7 multiplex on UHF channel 55 is closing next month so if nothing else is affected it probably isn't worth doing anything beyond basic checks for loose or damaged cables/connections and keeping HDMI cables away from the aerial lead at this point in time.

Chris: This page has listings for Freeview starting from channel 1, there are no channels numbered below 100 on Sky or Freesat. BBC Scotland is on Freeview channel 9 in SD and HD on 108 from transmitters which carry the BBC One Scotland region (it is not broadcast from transmitters covering England, Wales or Northern Ireland).
