Alicia Helme: Keep It Country (Freeview channel 87) is broadcast on the same multiplex as BBC Four HD and BBC News HD, are you able to receive those on Freeview channels 106 and 107? A check on your postcode shows that you should have good reception from the Winter Hill transmitter but you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type if you are using an older Group C/D aerial. Of course you will need a TV or set top box which is capable of receiving HD channels.

Sarah Medley: Most likely something to do with your aerial or some sort of local interference. Start by checking all cables and connections at the back of the TV and work your way back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial and check for anything loose or damaged. Whatever you do don't attempt to retune as this will just delete the missing channels and make it harder to find the cause of the problem.

Greg Harper: If you need to get your indoor aerial in a certain spot for it to work then you probably only just have enough signal. Any slight change in reception conditions can cause the signal level to drop below the point where enough is being received to decode the channels being broadcast. Transmitter signal strength is kept at the same level unless there are engineering works taking place, it doesn't vary each day/week.

Dave: Do you mean Freeview? Freeserve was an internet service provider which after a few takeovers is now part of EE (although the Freeserve name disappeared years ago). Please provide a postcode so we can see what channels should be available at your location.

G. Whittle WA10 2EA: The Liverpool local DAB multiplex covers St Helens from both Billinge Hill and Winter Hill so you will most likely be receiving a combined signal from both transmitters. Unlike FM where two or more transmitters with overlapping signals on the same frequency would cause interference, DAB radios are able to combine the signal from the same multiplex being broadcast on two or more transmitters to enhance reception.

JOHN DALY: Keep It Country are apparently off air while they change service providers (this is very unusual as such changes would normally take place behind the scenes with only a few seconds of interruption) and will apparently be back on air by 1st February, possibly earlier. Mardler : D1 hasn't been removed from Tacolneston or any other transmitter and is still showing on the ukdigitalradio site at the link below. There are also several other transmitter broadcasting D1 which cover various parts of Norfolk. Please provide your postcode so we can see where you are in relation to Tacolneston as well as which other transmitters may provide coverage at your location, the further advice can be offered.

Mike: True Movies is broadcast from Mendip on the local TV multiplex alongside Made in Bristol, which has most of its signal focused north towards Bristol and the surrounding areas, with only a limited amount of signal in other directions. You can see the coverage area if you click the LBSH label on the coverage map at the top of this page.

MikeB: True Movies has been on Freeview LCN 74 on local multiplexes since October (initially rebranded as True Christmas). The channel listing on this website for the local muxes is extremely out of date as it still lists QVC Extra which ceased broadcasting on Freeview local muxes in September 2015.

Annie : The NTL box will most likely be leftover from where a previous resident has had cable TV and isn't any use for Freeview. If you're in an area with strong signal (please provide a postcode so we can check) you might be able to get away with using an indoor aerial, but otherwise you'd have to get your own roof aerial put up, assuming there is no communal aerial system in the building.
