bourchier: There are no faults showing for either Plympton or Caradon Hill (both transmitters show good coverage for your location). Start by checking all the cables and connectors behind the TV for anything that become loose or damaged, then work your way back towards the aerial as far as you can safely access.

Donald Maclennan: BT Showcase HD is broadcast on the COM8 multiplex which isn't available from Rosemarkie (and won't be added in future either).

Jean Davies: According to the post which has appeared below yours, the transmitter has resumed service at 16:06 this afternoon. Since this website has no connection with any transmitter company or broadcaster, we don't have any more information on faults or engineering work than that provided in the transmitter engineering posts which take their source from a feed on the BBC engineering website.

Janet Polden, Sandra & chris Turner: Although there is no engineering or fault notice showing on this website yet, with multiple reports of a loss of signal it does seem likely that there is a fault or loss of power at the transmitter. Do not retune whilst there is no signal as this will delete all of your channels leaving you with no way of knowing when the fault has been fixed. If you have already retuned, check with a neighbour or wait for someone to report on this website that the transmitter working again, then retune again to restore your channels.

Jacki Reeve: There are multiple reports of people with no signal on the Weymouth Freeview page, so it seems that there is likely a transmitter fault. Do not attempt to retune, just wait and the signal will return when the fault has been fixed.

John: No one posting on this website has any further information than that contained in the reports from other posters and the transmitter engineering post (above yours) which shows that the transmitter has been off since 18:16 this evening and is no doubt being worked on to resolve the fault. Since this website has no connection with any broadcaster or transmitter company, no one on here can answer as to when the transmitter will be fixed. All I can advise is do not attempt to retune, your signal will return as soon as the transmitter is fixed.

Dylan : I couldn't see from your posts which part of the country you're in, but in general, as you go further north you'll find bigger dishes installed as standard due to the satellite signals getting weaker as you get further away from the equator. Around the south coast a 30cm dish should be fine, once you get towards the Midlands 45cm dishes tend to be used, and in the North of England, Scotland and Ireland 65cm dishes are commonly used.
Channels from Germany are broadcast from a different satellite position (although do provide good coverage in the UK) and would require either a separate dish aligned to that position, a bigger dish with multiple LNB blocks aligned to different satellite positions along with a device to switch between them (or a separate box for each satellite position) or a motorised dish which can be steered between different satellite positions. Your Sky box will only work for UK channels, as it needs to receive signals from Sky in order to populate it with the channel listing, which is only broadcast from the UK satellite position. A Freesat box might work in non-Freesat mode, or you could use a generic free to air box which is more likely to support switching between different LNBs or automatically controling a motorised dish. I'd suggest talking to a satellite install with experience of installing systems for reception of multiple satellite positions if you decide to go down this route.

Roger Preston: According to the coverage map on the Tacolneston transmitter page, Lowestoft is outside of the Freeview coverage area for Mustard so you would have to ask the broadcaster why they are advertising there, unless it's available on cable (I have no idea whether Virgin Media is available in Lowestoft).

Jane crabb: Unless you've changed the RF output channel on your Sky box, it will still be using C48, however as C48 is used by Mendip for the SDN multiplex (which is predicted to have variable reception at your location) it would be a good idea to change it (C38 is usually a good choice as it isn't used by any UK transmitter). You'll then need to retune the analogue channel on your second TV to match the one set on the Sky box. See the link below for a guide to change the RF output channel on your Sky box.
