S Hughes: Which stations have you tried? The BBC national stations generally have the best coverage, with local stations and national commercial stations having differing coverage in different areas. A full postcode from the area affected would be useful as we can then access the coverage prediction for that location. Dates for new transmitters to go on air are rarely announced in advance and no one on this website has any connection with any broadcaster or transmitter company.

Don: The online TV guide on Freesat's website (https://www.freesat.co.uk/tv-guide/) still has Al Jazeera listed as channel 203. Bloomberg on channel 208 is broadcast on the same transponder, is that working for you? MikeP seems to have missed that you're using Freesat as his answer is only relevant to Al Jazeera on Freeview.

Rigelprime: Have you checked if any of your neighbours on the same communal system are missing the COM channels? COM4 & COM 6 are showing as variable on the prediction for your postcode, however COM5 should have a good signal (Dover doesn't transmit COM7). Have you contacted the management company about it? Ultimate they are the only ones in a position to make any changes/improvements to the communal aerial.

Brian: Talking Pictures is currently broadcast on the COM7 HD multiplex and therefore is only receivable on a TV or set top box that supports Freeview HD (HD Ready or Full HD isn't enough as this only indicates that the TV can display a HD picture from a HDMI input). However, Talking Pictures have announced that from 30th November they will be moving to the COM6 multiplex which can be received with any Freeview TV/box (see link below). If you currently have 4Music on channel 18 then you will be able to receive Talking Pictures from 30th November (a retune may be needed on the day to update your channel list).

Chris Wood: Your TV (or set top box) has retuned and picked up BBC1 London from Crystal Palace before also finding BBC1 South from Hannington (Hannington uses higher frequencies than Crystal Palace and would therefore be found first on a retune if both are receivable). If you do a manual tune on UHF C39 from your TV's menu it should restore BBC1 South to position 1 on the program guide.

Mark jones: The transmitter engineering post directly above yours says that engineering work has been taking place today. Do not attempt to retune, your channels will return when the work is completed.

llovera: There are no faults or engineering work showing for Mendip. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV and BT box?

Paul: The engineering notice above your post shows that the transmitter came back on at 16:02 yesterday. It is however still possible that further work is taking place that hasn't show yet on the engineering noticed. As per my reply to Mark Jones, do not attempt to retune your TV.

Steve: Do you have the HD channels on 101-115? Freesports is broadcast on the COM7 HD multiplex and therefore requires a TV or box that supports Freeview HD (HD Ready or Full HD isn't enough as that just indicates that the screen can display a HD picture from a HDMI input). Also, are the little rods on your aerial vertical (pointing up and down) or horizontal (pointing side to side)? The Rowridge transmitter is unusual in that the main 6 multiplexes are broadcast in both horizontal and vertical polarity, however COM7/COM8 and the local mux are horizontal only.
