Brian Phillips: We need a full postcode to see the predicted reception at your location, Freeview's coverage checker doesn't work on place names. A postcode from a nearby shop/pub/garage/school etc is usually sufficient if you don't want to post your own.

LONDON LIVE

regine lemberger: This isn't London Live's website and unfortunately I can't see any catchup service on the channel's own site.

Tony DENNIS: All the BBC's terrestrial channels are on Freeview, can you be more specific about which ones aren't working and if any other channels are missing? Roku sticks/boxes and similar won't affect Freeview signals themselves but if you have a HDMI cable running close to the aerial lead it can cause interference as many cheap HDMI leads don't have proper screening braid around the inner cables, so it's best to keep HDMI and coax aerial leads as separate as possible.

Philip A Hadler: Crystal Palace is predicted to be much stronger at your location than Bluebell Hill and both transmitters are in almost the exact same direction so it makes sense that your TV is preferring to tune to London region rather than Meridian. You could try manual tuning on UHF channels 32, 34 and 45 but you may find that the signal isn't strong enough to work reliably.

Garry Stephen: We need a full postcode to see what your predicted reception is like at your exact location. There have not be any changes to any of the HD channels available from Durris for some time, if you have lost many of the channels you used to receive then it's likely to be down to a fault in your antenna system somewhere or interference.

The Peterhead transmitter is a relay which only serves a few thousand homes and is unlikely to ever be upgraded as the investment required isn't worthwhile for the commercial broadcasters who would have to pay for the increased costs required to reach such a tiny increase in potential audience.

Thomas Atkinson: Try asking the channel directly, this isn't their website and it's unlikely that anyone from the broadcaster will see your comment here.

Garry Stephen: Me and Chris.SE already explained in reply to your comment on the Durris page, it's down to the Peterhead transmitter only covering a relatively small population so it isn't viable for the commercial broadcasters who would have to pay for it.

david: No plans have been announced to expand coverage of the Wiltshire local mux to cover Salisbury, although there is now a small scale DAB mux which covers parts of the city. SDL was intended to provide a low cost alternative to the D1 National multiplex with fewer transmitters whilst still covering most major population areas. Small cities like Salisbury are unlikely to be a priority for SDL as there isn't another highly populated area nearby which can be covered from the same transmitter.

John: UHF channel 55 is the COM7 multiplex which is closing at the end of next month. Nothing has been announced regarding what will happen to FreeSports or any of the other channels currently carried on COM7. Those signal strength readings are within the normal range so if the quality reading stays high and you don't experience any problems I would keep your setup as it is.
