John H: I imagine that you are (and were) receiving from Caldbeck.
Caldbeck broadcasts North West England regional programming and as well as Scottish regional programming directionally.
If there is manual tuning, then wipe the memory (probably by running it through with the aerial unplugged).
Then manually tune the channels:
PSB1 | BBC One etc | C27
PSB2 | ITV1 etc | C24
PSB3 | HD services (if applicable) | C22
COM4 | ITV3 etc | C23
COM5 | Pick TV etc | C26
COM6 | Film4 etc | C29
The English variants of the PSB channels are on 25, 28, 30, respectively.

John H: If there isn't manual tuning, then it will probably be more tricky. In such a case, if you have a signal booster fitted, then it might be worth trying reducing the level of amplification (or removing it completely) in the hope that it will pick up the Scottish channels instead.
Let us know how it goes. If you continue to have difficulty, then we may be able to suggest other things, although it may be a try it and see sort of thing if manual tuning isn't an option.

Dec: Probably because too many channels are being picked up to fit in the memory. COM5 from Pontop Pike is on C59 which is the highest channel for this station.
Your receiver is probably picking up signals from other transmitters and storing these.
Run the automatic tuning scan with the aerial unplugged for the first 50% of the scan to hopefully miss some out.

conor: RT/TG4 is not on Freesat is for licensing reasons. If it were then the programmes they broadcast would be available across the UK and beyond.
RT is available via Saorsat.
Freeview HD devices are required to receive RT/TG4 in Northern Ireland because the NI Mux uses DVB-T2 mode which is the same as that of Freeview HD.
According to the post code attached to one of your previous postings, you are in Belfast and are expected to be able to receive the NI Mux from Black Mountain. This is the same direction as Divis and so your current aerial will probably work.

conor: The answer is as I said.
Whenever broadcasters show programmes, they must purchase the rights to show them. If RT were to become available over a wider area then this would likely have cost implications for such licensing.
Perhaps Northern Ireland could have an additional TV licence so as to fund this additional cost.
Freesat is broadcast from a satellite whose footprint covers the whole of the UK and beyond. Thus it would not be possible for some services to only be available over part of that area, even if they wanted to be.
It is possible to receive the Saorsat channels and Freesat channels using a large enough dish with two LNBs and a suitable receiver.

dermot walsh : You will need a Freeview HD receiver to pick up RT/TG4 as they broadcast using the DVB-T2 format even though they will be standard definition pictures.

Jude Fisher: What is the make and model of your receiver?
Some have difficulty receiving the pre-switchover and post-switchover signals at the same time (which is what you have in the two weeks in between).
An idea of your location and transmitter may be useful so that we can check on predicted coverage. Your post code or that of a nearby property such as a shop may be useful.
