22-inch ES5000 Series 6 Full HD 1080p Slim LED TV | UE22ES5000W - Samsung UK - OVERVIEW
It contains only a DVB-T tuner, and not a DVB-T2 one as well. These are the signal standards.
The Republic of Ireland's Saorview system comprises of a single DVB-T multiplex which carries standard definition services and RT Two HD.
The UK's Freeview system uses DVB-T for standard definition broadcasts and DVB-T2 for high definition broadcasts. Hence it can't pick up high definition versions of BBC One, BBC Two, UTV/ITV and Channel 4.

Kim Smart: It is still available and is in the process of changing multiplex. At present it is (according to my receiver) available on its old multiplex and on the new one.
See if it is on logical channel number 791 or in the 800s.

Lesley Horner: "Freeview Light" is the unofficial term given to the service where only PSB channels can be received.
There are over 1,000 small transmitters (which cover a small area and serve a small number of viewers) which are Freeview Light.
The Poplar transmitter is one such station.
See here for a full list of services by multiplex:

john coombes: I should imagine that it is a Wednesday as that is the day changes are made.
New space has been made on the multiplex which carries ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and others. Film4 has been put in this space.
The former home (air space if you like) of Film4 on the COM6 multiplex will be used for Film4+1. At the present time, it is carrying Film4 with a message overlayed telling the viewer to retune if that picture appears on logical channel 15.
Presumably there will be a transitional period before the use of that capacity is vacated by the 'old' Film4 and reused for Film4+1.

Cyril Teed: Turn your aerial for vertical polarisation.
Rowridge broadcasts PSB channels at 200kW horizontally and 200kW vertically.
It broadcasts COM channels at 50kW horizontally and 200kW vertically.
A different aerial is not likely to be required - unless it is broken - because all channels are Group A.

Trevor Gordon: Film4+1 has no video at present because the capacity is still being used by the 'old' Film4 - the one with the message overlayed.
The 'new' Film4 is carried on PSB2 multiplex (which carries ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and others). The old Film4 slot will carry Film4+1.
There is a transitional period where Film4 is broadcast in its old slot with message overlayed and in its new spot without the message overlayed.
Which transmitter are you using? "Perhaps" COM6 (the old Film4 multiplex) is picked up before the new one - this depending on the frequencies used by your transmitter.
I have no idea whether it might work, but I would try tuning in the multiplexes in order, or at least PSB2 than COM6.
If your set has manual tuning then knowledge of the transmitter may allow more definitive guidance on achieving this.

Dave Southall: There is now satellite Freeview because Freeview is a terrestrial system, perhaps you mean Freesat.
If the TV has a built-in Freesat tuner (DVB-S) then you can connect it to a dish. For this it will have a connection at the back, this being a threaded f-connector.

Sinad: The bearing to Divis, which carries Freeview is 289 degrees.
The bearing to Black Mountain, which carries RT One, RT Two and TG4 is 265 degrees.
Therefore turn the aerial anti-clockwise in the hope that you can strike a balance where you can still receive all Freeview channels from Divis and RT/TG4 from Black Mountain. So have it pointing somewhere between the two.
For Freeview, check one service on each multiplex: BBC One, UTV, BBC One HD (if applicable), ITV3, Pick TV and 4Music.

Peter Western: Turn your aerial vertical.
From Rowridge, all channels are radiated vertically and horizontally.
PSB channels are at 200kW horizontal and 200kW vertical.
COM channels are at 50kW horizontal and 200kW vertical.

Marty: Is it the HD channels from BBC, UTV and Channel 4 that you are missing?
A location, preferably in the form of postcode is really required where the query relates to a reception issue.
