Below are all of Dave Lindsay's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.paddy: You are receiving from Clermont Carn.
If your aerial is vertical (elements up/down) and is pointing to Black Mountain then presumably you are picking up Clermont Carn off the back of it which would explain why reception might be hit and miss.
From Black Mountain you will only be receiving PSB channels (BBC, UTV, Channel 4, Channel 5, UTV+1, Channel 4+1, Film4 and a few others.
Depending on your location you may be able to receive all channels from Divis. You could then combine the feed from one aerial on Divis and a second on Clermont Carn to allow you to watch Saorview and Freeview on the same TV/box.

kirstine selman: Where is your aerial pointing?
The Corsham relay transmitter is a stone's throw away on Southerwicks so ITV could be tuning to that (if it's Mendip @ 235 degrees to which your aerial faces).

kirstine selman: The signal strength screen should tell you which transmitter you are tuned to by way of the tuned UHF channel (frequency).
For ITV, Mendip is on C54 and Corsham is on C46.
For BBC, Mendip is on C49 and Corsham broadcasts on C40 and C50 (according to Digital UK).

terry mason: The aerial is installed to receive from one particular transmitter. Presumably you are receiving the other regional broadcasts from another transmitter which may be in a different direction and probably horizontally polarised, i.e. you have your aerial vertical, so as to receive Dallington Park, but the signal is horizontal.

Matthew: As MikeB says, there is an obstruction and it is Mortlich which is covered in trees.
Perhaps your aerial system has an amplifier in it. Where an amplifier has no electricity supply it will give nothing (or maybe little) out.

The North East multiplex closed on 29th July. See here for a list of services it carried:

Paddy: If your RT aerial points roughly due south and is vertical (elements up/down) then it probably points to Clermont Carn and it broadcasts on UHF channel 52.
You don't need a Freeview HD receiver to pick-up the signal from Clermont Carn, although you may find that you get sound but no picture. This will nonetheless give you an idea whether the signal can be received.
You may find that the Saorview channels are in your 800s (i.e. they have already been stored) or you may find that a manual scan of UHF channel 52 adds them.
On the point about what equipment you require, a Freeview HD receiver will definitely work whilst some non-Freeview HD receivers will work, others won't.
The reason is that the picture format of Saorview system is MPEG4 and Freeview standard definition uses the earlier MPEG2 format. This is why using a Freeview receiver for Saorview might give no picture.

P. Kieran Ward: Yes, Paddy may be able to receive UHF channel 39 from Black Mountain.
However it broadcasts horizontally and the other channels from the Black Mountain relay are vertically polarised. That said, C39 is much higher power so that will help with the receiving aerial being at opposite polarisation to the signal.

N smith: A retune is required for Film4.
You may find the new Film4 in your 800s.
