SkullKid: Yes, that is correct. I think this will include Wales, as S4C2 has closed freeing up the "CITV slot".

Dermo: You won't be able to pick up the RTE channels, as they are not broadcast from UK transmitters, but you will get Channel 5 as this is now on multiplex 2.

Gareth Smart: At the moment, the Mendip transmitter is stuck betweeen regions that have fully switched (Wales, South West) and those that have not (Midlands, South).
This means that the commercial multiplexes here are at low power for a long time, as their frequencies are still in use for analogue services to the north and east.
This will happen to some other transmitters, but currently Mendip has had the worst of this.

r jeynes: No problems are reported, but you should probably expect this with an indoor aerial. Freeview requires a rooftop aerial for reliable reception. Please can you see Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice ?

scott: Can't be sure without a postcode, but until switchover in 2012, you can only receive Freeview HD if you receive a signal direct from the Pontop Pike transmitter.
