By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.
(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).
UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

fozzy: If your not finding it on either tuner, that points to the feed to both. Motors TV needs an HD box, but if you've had it and now dont, check your signal levels for all muxes - it might be that ones gone but the others are a bit weak as well. If they are, try another cable. If that doesn't work, follow it up the signal path.

fozzy : In addition to that said, although this channel has closed down as far as being able to view it in Freeview is concerned, it can however still be viewed on internet connected TV's on COM4 LCN 240.

Thanks for the reply MikeB, Both systems are HD although I now suspect the HD Sony TV may not support the channel even though its only a year old. I alwasy just used my PC DVB T2 card via PC to the Sony which always worked as i said.
I dont know how to to check levels for muxes or what they are for that matter. Both systems show signal strength 42% signal quality 100% is this the problem?
Thanks

fozzy: JB38 answered your question about Motors TV! If its not on any more, that explains it.
Your Sony should have a DVB-T2 tuner in it - even a basic Sony has one as standard. If your getting a 110% quality, great, but 42% is a surprisingly low for being only 30km from Winter Hill.

Sally:
Channel 64-68 are in the 4G range and not suitable for your purpose. Use channel 38 as that will avoid any conflict with the available transmitters in your area.

Mike B thank you for pointing jb38 message out.
My Sony Bravia KDL-50W829B 50" does have DVB T2 tuner but in the list of tvs known not to support it Get Motors TV | Motors TV the same model number but smaller screen is listed so I'm assuming mine doesn't, not good news as its less than a year old!
Could you suggest anything to improve my signal?
Thanks again
