By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.
(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).
UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

lee radford: Do you get the two QVC HD channels? Those are broadcast on COM8 along with Frontrunner. Also check that you are actually tuned to COM 8 from Waltham on UHF C37 and not the weaker signal from Sutton Coldfield on C35.

Thanks for the reply,
I've checked and I can't see the qvc hd channels. It looks like we jump from ch31-39 :-(
I assumed that as we got the Beeb hd channels we'd get the others.

StevensOnln1: It may be worth trying a manual tune on C37 if you box supports it. If you find the manual tuning menu and select C37 then wait a few seconds most receivers will show you a signal meter with the strength and quality of the multiplex. If both seem stable, press scan/OK and it should add the channels on COM8.
The main HD channels (BBC1 HD, BBC2 HD, ITV HD, Ch4 HD, Ch5 HD & CBBC HD) are broadcast on the PSB3 multiplex at the same power as the PSB1 & PSB2 multiplexes which carry the main SD channels. COM7 & COM8 are broadcast at much lower power on most of the 30 transmitter which carry them, which will result in a weaker signal if you're further away, have obstacles between you and the transmitter and/or are using a group C/D aerial for which COM7 & COM8 are outside the frequency range the aerial is designed to receive.

Lee Radford:
You should be using the Waltham transmitter at your location so your aerial should be aimed at 111 degrees, roughly south east. So check that it is pointing in that general direction first. I know from personal experience, having worked as a TV service engineer in that area some years ago, that reception in your part of Clifton is generally very good. So please will you check what the signal strengths are for the multiplexes from Waltham. It might just be that you have too little signal (unlikely to be too much) for that multiplex. Also, can you confirm that your TV set or STB is HD equipped, not just HD capable? To get COM8, which includes your wanted channel, you need a TV with a DVB-T2 tuner and older sets as well as those not full HD equipped cannot receive those transmissions.
Note also that COM8 on Ch37 is transmitted at about half the power of the main PCB services. You can see more information about what Waltham transmits at https://ukfree.tv/transmi…ham.

Sarah Medley: Most likely something to do with your aerial or some sort of local interference. Start by checking all cables and connections at the back of the TV and work your way back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial and check for anything loose or damaged. Whatever you do don't attempt to retune as this will just delete the missing channels and make it harder to find the cause of the problem.

Chris: ITV Anglia (East) HD is currently only available on Sky and Freesat. All the ITV regions will be available in HD on Freeview eventually but not until the PSB3 multiplex (operated by the BBC and carries BBC1 HD, BBC2 HD, ITV HD, Ch4 HD, Ch5 HD & CBBC HD) is split into more regions, which the BBC have previously said will start to happen this year. Until then, transmitters in the Anglia region carry a South England version of PSB3 which includes ITV Meridian HD.
