My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Sandra:
What were the circumstances when the problems started? Have you changed anything in your installation, any new equipment?
Have you checked all your coax plug connections, any faulty flyleads coonecting aerial socket to TV or between TV and a DVR etc.? Does your aerial and downlead look intact and is the aerial still pointing in the correct direction?
If you retuned when there was transmitter maintenance or at some point when you had no signal - never a good idea, as all it does is clear correct tuning, then you may be picking up a weaker transmitter.
You could try a retune as follows -
Unplug the aerial and carry out an automatic retune, this should clear memory of previous tuning. Then plug the aerial back in and repeat the retune which will hopefully restore all channels correctly.
Post with more detail of your installation if you are still having problems and a full postcode so we can look at the predicted reception at your location.

David Lee:
Really and Dave are on the COM5/ArqA multiplex, see Channel listings | Freeview
Have you also lost Pick LCN11, and other channels on the multiplex ie. Quest Red LCN38, Film 4+1 LCN45 etc.
Do NOT retune if it says No Signal when selecting these channels as it will just clear the correct tuning.
Tell us which transmitter you receive if you are certain which it is, otherwise please provide a full postcode so we can check. It's possible there may be a fault or the transmitter is listed for Planned Engineering.

DAVID GLENNERSTER: you've not indicated which channels are affected, or where you live/which transmitter you are receiving. There was a frequency change for many mainly secondary HD channels in 2019 (plus some low bandwidth non-HD ones).
5G has not started yet. They haven't even auction off the frequency - so your issue is not directly the result of 5G mobile use of the TV spectrum as far as I can see. Maybe a more technical person on here can comment?
It is possible your aerial is no longer fully suitable due to the 2019 frequency changes. Do you know what type of aerial you have, and what Band your transmitter is on?

We get our signal from Winter Hill and live in a block of flats with a master aerial

David Lee:
The ArqA multiplex is now on UHF C31 from Winter Hill since the retune. If you live in flats, then it's the responsibility of the building management to resolve this problem, your neighbours should be getting the same problem. If your neighbours are OK and it's just you, your set's memory may just need clearing.
If so, unplug the aerial and carry out an automatic retune which should clear all previous tuning as nothing should be found. Plug the aerial back in a repeat the retune which will hopefully restore all channels correctly.
Let us know if that solves the problem.

DAVID GLENNERSTER:
David Warner has correctly advised that your problem is not 5G related but could be the result of any frequency changes last year at your transmitter.
We need a full postcode to look at the predicted reception at your location and which transmitter(s) and multiplexes you may be able to receive.
However, if the previous changes haven't affected the aerial Group, then your issue may be due to interference from some electrical equipment if it's happening at exactly the same time each night. Typical sources at this time of day may be central heating for example.

David Lee: I have now checked with other residents in my block of flats and viewed a set able to receive both channels 17 and 19 so I have carried out a retune firstly without the aerial plugged in and then with it plugged in.
The results have been exactly the same as before and I am still receiving " No Signal " on all of the channels of the channels I previously listed.
Any further suggestions please ?

David Lee:
Do you have a Sky box or other Box of some description that has an (analogue perhaps) RF output that could be set to C31 so blocking the Freeview signal? If so tune it somewhere way above Freeview channels, say C60 or above.
Otherwsie, can you advise exactly what make and model your TV is please? It may be something peculiar to your TV.
