Floyd,Luton.Well give it a few more days and if the Freeview reception fails to materialise then you're only option is to opt for Freesat or make do with Freeview.
Look up inversion effect which is a possible cause which i mentioned at 3.22pm today,in my first text to you,or you may have too much signal in this case test with either a set-top aerial or a piece of wire or small screwdriver into the aerial socket of your new Goodmans box,if all the missing channels do return then excess signal is the culprit.
Keep monitoring the situation if at all possible.Im sure Briantist,Mike Dimmick,JB38,KMJ Derby, etc, the true engineering experts on here will provide ever more valuable advice and help as such !

Terri: Your postcode resolves to an appartment block and these usually have communal aerials.
If you are using a communal aerial, then it may need to be adjusted. See this posting from Hilary who has the same problem and see my response to her:

Terri,Chatham.No problem whatsoever.
However in your circumstance as you experienced the difficulty of losing Film4 which is carried on the ArqB multiplex from main transmitters and major relay masts, leaving a full postcode preferably is necessary to ascertain the reception probabilities in your location.
This is to prescribe as a doctor would say the right course of treatment to the symptom of the cause of someones discomfort.
To rephrase, the experts on here (im not a fully qualified expert by the way,but i do attain some wee knowledge in this field) by judging ones locality with the likelyhood of which transmissions are broadcast to/from ones location as such, can get to the bottom of ones difficulties by ascertaining the possibilities of which transmitter/relay one is experiencing difficulties from at somebody's destination, hence a full postcode gives detailed possibilities as such so the right course of action by everybody using this forum can distribute to those requiring assistance like yerself as an example.

Hi,
I seem to have lost film four and ITV4, on my Humax HDRFox T2, it was working on Thursday 12th July, but we seem to have lost signal to it. So I retuned and the channel itself seems to have dissapeared from the TV guide.
However if I use the inbuilt freeviewer on my TV then both channels are there. So the problem seems to only affect the Humax box.
My Post Code is GU21 6DR

I have made several comments before about my tv reception. Guess what, I have 2 different tv's an old one with a settop box and a newer one with the freeview built in. Since the switchover I have had one problem after another. Now I cannot get any channels anymore at all, even though I bought a new cable going from the tv to the wall socket which is connected to the roof antenna. The roof antenna serves a lot of flats. I contacted the manager and he says that none of the other tenants have complained about reception problems. I don't understand this at all! No matter how often I have tried to rescan the last week the scanner can never find any channels on both TV's!!!! How is this possible? What else can I do without spending a lot of money on having so-called engineers come in? The whole thing is unbelievable. Any ideas what I can do now?

Floyd: Its quite impossible for anyone to assist or pass an opinion when you have failed to mention your location and which could be anywhere in the UK, a post code or one from nearby being suffice as this would then enable access to the reception predictor covering wherever you might be located.
