Peter/Murray Allen/Pointy: Some people on the edge of the coverage area using the Sandy Heath transmitter will be unable to receive multiplex ArqB (was D) until it moves to C48 at full power on 14 Sept 2011.

This is because the multiplex has "changed mode" to allow the provision of Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 to BT Vision customers.

Thank you for the info on the sandy transmitter. I did notice a blocked sky sports now showing. It annoys me that we jaw to suffer and lose something because BT have decided to offer something to their paying customers at the expense if others. It is one again people getting shafted at the expense of others in the name of money. I am not a skin fling as I pay for full sky and HD downstairs and it's only upstairs j use freeveiw but it's giving the misses more weight to her ear bending of giving sky even more money to har multiroom which I am trying not to do, and if we all go sky and virgin and Bt there will be no need for any freeveiw but maybe that's the way they would like it to go.

I too loved film4 in bed at night, wish they had lost some of the others instead, really many thanks for the info though. It does help alot. And ifwe have lost things now for another 6months I will find it hard to stop her bending me into multiroom at an extra £10 amonth and also removing another freeview customer from the network making less important.

What if I were an elderly person, or a family trying to live on the smallest of incomes and film4 was something that brought a light relief to a sad poor empty life. NOT ONE bit of information has come out anywhere here saying we were going to lose things. Do you have the details of who to contact about this as I would love the chance to tell someone just what that have done and how their lack of care has affected people

Do you get the feeling I am sick and fed up of people being treated like idiots, we are always forced into a no choice option and then right after the no going back point things are changed on us but by that time THERES NO GOING BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

As said before though thank you as you are the first bit of information that any of us have been given and as a project manager the first act is stakeholder buy in, we as customers are all stakeholders with an interest in it and the lack of com's is disgusting

Hi Briantist, I live in ME19 4ET. I have a Samsung with built in Freeview Just this week I too have had frequent problems with Film Four. Loss of signal or pixelated to the extreme with sudden frozen picture/sound (funny how it seems to wait till the most crucial parts of the film!). No other channel is affected & when re-tuning Film Four appears in it's usual spot. Normally I result in switching off the tv for a minute or so & back on till the next time. Any ideas? Thank u in advance.

Right, who do I complain to and how about the disgusting signal from sandy. I have cleared out and done first time install many times now. We have lost loads of channels. Film4 has never come back, pick and pick+1 which I like for road wars and such like tunes inbut says zero signal. Bbc4 is unwatchable, many of the other channels are poor quality and blocks of picture. It is such a bad service it's amazing whoever looks after the sandy transmitter is allowed to keep running it.

But thanks to the government is there anything we can do about it........... NOT A CHANCE cos they sold off the anolog signals so we are stuck with this poor quality service, someone must be accountable for this and I would love to know who.

Still there has been ZERO communication from them saying sorry for the current quality and yet theday they turned off the old signal they promised on the look east news that the signal was going to be boosted many times over as it was now the only choice.

Ease can anyone help me so I can complain about this service. All I need is a name and number and trust me they will know I have called. My family has even said contacting the local look east news to raise the issue would be a good idea

Thanks

Tony I am on sandy too. The service has become very por quality and a few times the guy on this site has told me to just do a first tome install again to over
Right all the channels, I have done over 10 times and still lost a lot of stuff as well as very poor quality on the ones we do get. I am going to google who responsable for it as I have asked a few times on here and not getting any answers anymore, not even a "sorry but I don't know" answer. My mother did say it might be something our local look east news might like to hear about as it's very poor customer service. Your not alone, they have shafted all of us in the whole area

Peter: "The commercial multiplexes at Sandy Heath will remain on their pre-switchover channels and powers for a period after digital switchover. SDN will then temporarily move to channel 31 (at 20kW ERP) on 31 Aug 2011, before adopting its final allocation of channel 51 on 18th April 2012. Arqiva A will adopt its final allocation of channel 52 on 23 Nov 2011. Arqiva B will temporarily move to channel 67 (at 20kW ERP) at switchover and then it will adopt its final allocation of channel 48 on 14 Sept 2011."

There is no one to "complain to" and you have not been "shafted" you simply have to apply some patience.
