From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. David Lindsay is totally missing the point here
Or doesnt he understand what we are saying

Many times I have found something I want to watch or record on ITV3 but I find I have missed the start

So I go to ITV3+!
Tonight it stopped at 8pm and restarted at 9pm
Other recordings may stop at midnight

What is worse if I start to watch (or record) a programme which disappears before the end it would be better if I hAd NOT started wtaching (or recording)

The one certainty is ITV3+! is totally unreliable

David Lindsay's solution in all the cases quoted above is to watch ITV3

Like the Irishman the advice seems to be f I were you I wouldnt start from here
In other words if you have missed the start of a programme on ITV3 I wouldnt bother attempting to watch it on ITV3+1 because there is absolutely no guarantee you will be able to see the end of that programme

AS IT HAPPENS Tonight I was fortunate I was able to swich to Freesat ITV3+1 during the period it was not being transmitted on Freeview (Poirot The Clapham Cook)

Why do the newspapers still publish the TV channel for ITV as 10 when that has been out of use for some time? The unreliable ITV+1 is useless to viewers wanting to see programmes earlier in the day, so what numerical code will enable us to see them now?

Alan Lyne: Could you clarify which channel you're talking about? ITV3 is still on channel 10 but it changed multiplex last year (it is now on the same mux as ITV, ITV2, Channel 4 & Channel 5) so you may need to retune if your TV or box hasn't updated.

Why is ITV 3 + 1 not available in daytime and early evening? The number of times we have wanted to watch something starting at 6 pm but can't because it is dog feeding time, then our feeding time, then clearing up time, is unbeliveable. So we want to watch it at 7 pm but can't because it isn't there. Why not ????

Barbara Goodyear: ITV3 +1 shares capacity with CITV channel on Freeview, so ITV3 +1 is only broadcast later in the evening after CITV closes at 9pm, until CITV starts again in the morning.

When a channel is restricted to a cut off time i.e. ITV +1 midnight, please would the schedulers use some sense and arrange to transmit a programme that fits....not a film that gets cut off halfway through.!!!! It is totally infuriating.

M newman:

Whilst you would be best addressing your comment to ITV - details here - ITV3 the schedule is no doubt arranged by what is screened on ITV3 rather than the +1 channel.

Pauline Donaldson : I also feel annoyed at ITV 3+1 not start8ng until 9.00 miss organising early evening viewing an as another person said you get one prog and the next one stops haf way through. It needs to change to another channel if it can't provide more than 3 hrs airtime! At first kept hoping it was only temporary. Can't see the logic of it.

Maggie Dunlop: Is there any particular reason that you're watching on ITV3 +1 rather than ITV3? ITV3 +1 cannot start any earlier as the space is taken up by CITV channel until 9pm, with other channels taking the space after midnight until CITV channel starts up again in the morning.

I too am very unhappy about no early evening programmes onITV3+1. It is madness to prioritise children's television in the early evening. Not all the ITV 3 programmes are available on catchup so I am just having to miss out. A poor decision, ITV..
