Sadly, I am unable to offer this personal service at the moment.
Until I can restore this service, please can you leave any questions you have on an appropriate page, where they will be answered as soon as possible, or below, if you can't figure out where to ask.

BBC HD on Freesat transmits Dolby 2Ch and Digital. Same on Freeview appears only to be Nicam or similar on Belmont. Is this true? is is permanent? Best thing about HD TV is the Dolby Digital sound when it's avaialable!

I have re-tuned my freeview box - everything is OK except I have lost BBC1 and BBC2
(they appear as 816 and 817 on channel list but the reception is static and unable to watch?

John Hewitt: At the moment, Freeview HD uses the extra audio capacity to provide audio description, and not an additional 5.1 stream, as is found, as you say, on satellite.
It's not NICAM, of course, that is a system used only with analogue television. The word you are looking for is "stereo".

Anne: It sounds very much like a common problems for people in strong signal areas: too strong a signal.
If you have a booster or amplifier in your system, remove it and rescan.
If all you have is a rooftop aerial connected directly to the set (or set top box) you can fit a small cheap device called an "attenuator" that will reduce the signal levels.

My wife and I paricularly enjoyed watching Border Force. Episodes are now repeated ad nauseam however, so there is no pleasure in it any more. A few weeks ago, the TV guide claimed it to be a 'brand new hard hitting series' We thought a new series had been made, so we started to watch it. No such luck, it was the same tired old repeat.I have ticked the e-mail updates box in the forlorn hope that a new series may be screened some time.

T. Curry: All content on PICK TV has already been shown, when they say a "new series" they mean for their channel.
If you want to watch new programmes, stick to BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
