J RUTTER: Indications are that you should be able to receive Freeview from either Wenvoe or Mendip.
You should try manual tuning the HD multiplex by first of all carrying out a scan without the aerial connected to blank out anything stored in the memory, then after re-connecting carry out a "manual" tune on Mux Ch47 (Wenvoe's HD service) storing anything received (if not done automatically) before adding the other channels using the "add channels" facility.
If though you are receiving from Mendip, then the HD multiplex is Ch58. Should be pointed out that Mendip only indicates you being able to receive the main PSB stations, as the others as shown as poor.

chris: Without knowledge of your location (post code) its not possible to advise on what you should be receiving.
You could maybe also give some info on the aerial system. (where mounted etc)

Brian my sky HD+ has ethernet port but I cannot find BBCi player on sky channel list but it is on Freesat list?

andrew Jamieson: The ethernet port is for Sky Anytime+. If you have a HD subscription, and sky broadband, you can use it to watch programmes over the Internet, although sadly, BBC iPlayer is not part of the line up

I have the following equipment:
- panasonic plasma TH-42PWD6
- SKY+ box
- Goodmans GDVDR320HDMIB
- BOSE Surround
- Philips VR170 VCR
I receive signals from a roof mounted aerial (terrestial) and a satellite dish.
The initital set-up in my house was designed to facilitate the:
- distribution of the terrestial signal to multiple locations that allowed independent selection. This continues to be the case today;
- distribution of the satellite signal to multiple locations where each of the latter were slaves to the selected channel on the sky box. This continues to be the case today.
I have the equipment located in the main lounge. The set-up was modified by a technician from the sky agent when I was away. The result is that all of the other locations are being serviced as before, however, a change has occurred in the main lounge.
The current configuration for reception in the lounge is that the:
- signals are fed from the respective antennae directly into the sky box;
- a scart is connected between the VCR socket of the sky box and the in/out scart socket on the DVD;
- a cable is then connected between the video out on the DVD to the video in on the plasma;
- an audio cable runs between the DVD and the BOSE amp.
This set-up allows me to select either the DVD or the sky channels via the DVD. This is simple and works well.
However, I am unable to view the terrestial channels in the main lounge with this set-up. Note that the VCR is disconnected from all.
How can I rectify this situation?
Thanks,
David

Chester
I am in Chester and only a few miles from the border with Wales but my freeview TV is picking up only the BBC and ITV regions for Wales instead of the North West regions! How do I get my TV to pick up the correct regions?
