Since the refine, my Sony freeview box picks up all the channels, but when I put org on, the picture goes blank after 5 seconds and won't come back on. If I press any button, ie menu, the picture comes back, until the menu etc is switched off....any suggestions? (53.8270,-1.2177)

suzanne: It is possible to receive Film 4 and the other channels on the COM muxes in West Kirby, but only if you have an aerial pointing to Moel Y Parc in Wales. Aerial set for horizontal polarisation and pointing SSW at 209 degrees. Good reception of all muxes from M-Y-P is predicted at your location, subject to there being no local obstructions in the signal path such as trees or tall buildings. If your aerial is currently pointing to the West Kirby relay you will only receive the PSB muxes for NW England, as this is a Freeview Lite (PSB only) transmitter. Using two aerials, linked with a diplexer, will give all available services at your location.

susanne: yes you should if your aerial is pointing at the Moel-y-parc transmitter which is slightly west of south from your location. The aerial rods would be horizontal and you would be receiving BBC Wales & HTV (ITV Wales).
Film 4 is on the Arq B (COM6) multiplex broadcast on UHF C48 from there.
If your aerial is pointing at the local West Kirby relay, the rods vertical, approximately to the east of you, getting the Granada region, the answer is no as the relay only transmits the PSB multiplexes.

susanne: Lots of folk in West Kirby have their aerials pointing at Winter Hill (north-east, horizontal polarisation).
Auto tuning your TV (or digibox) is likely to pick up signals from the West Kirby relay (up the hill across the road from Caldy Grange school), as these will be found "first" since they're lower frequency. There are no COM MUXs on this relay, hence no Film4.
Try manual tuning (after factory reset / default setting) for the Winter Hill MUXs on UHF channels 55, 58, 59, 61 & 62.
