Sudbury Arqiva multiplex B changes 16 November - retune required
After 6am 16th November 2011, viewers in Suffolk and Essex who receive the full Freeview service from the Sudbury transmitter will need to do a full retune of their Freeview boxes - you must perform a "first time installation" retune (sometimes "Factory Reset" or "Shipping Condition") to ensure you can watch the all the available Freeview channels on the correct channel numbers.
The ArqB multiplex is moving from C50 to C63 for seven months. There will be no changes to the power level or transmission mode parameters of the service. C50 is required for the ArqB at the Tacolneston transmitter digital switchover next wednesday.
Sudbury not see the commercial multiplexes operating at their final power levels until 27th June 2012. On this date SDN will move to C58, ArqA to C60 and ArqB to C56. Until this time some viewers on the edges of the service area for the transmitter will be unable to receive the commercial services.

OK : have been out all day (at sister-in-law's who receives from Tacolneston which has, ironically, just given up CH 63) and have now read that the problem I reported earlier, of not/barely receiving ArqB on CH 63 is wide-spread.
I know that my aerial is wide-band ; that none of my other devices is transmitting on CH 63 to interfere ; and previous chnnels were all cleared down before retuning.
Tonight ArqB has gone from the PVR as well as TV : though the signal strength will flash from 0 to c. 60% periodically (as someone else mentioned).
My view is that this has been a cock-up of some sort at the transmitter : maybe a directional one, maybe for everyone. Either way, how does one raise this with Digital UK?

UPDATE
Just retuned my LG and now got 88 digital channels and 20 ish radio channels so back to normal.
Still can't get any channel less than 10 on the portable though.

I have tried several things that have been suggested before. I have also checked the signal strengths of various channels those at carrier of 634MHz 98%sig str. 100% quality, 698MHz 64%/98 730MHz 41%/84% fluctuating. The article states " The ArqB multiplex is moving from C50 to C63 for seven months. There will be no changes to the power level or transmission mode parameters of the service".

I receive my signal from the Sudbury transmitter and since the transmitter change Film4 has dropped off completely. No mater what I do to return my freeview box, it no longer picks up Film4. By the looks of things loads of others have this problem too. The question is what can be done to return Film4?

Update, just realised I also do not get ITV4 and Yesterday anymore too. This whole change over process is getting me down. Firstly I had to buy a freeview box, as the built in one in my TV was listed as one that would not work on the new Digital network. Now the freeview channels are disappearing.

Stephen.ITV4 and Yesterday you mentioned are both on the ArqB mux now on fr 63 until Wednesday 27 June 2012.

I tried doing as the instructions via the link suggested and still no better.
Tried adding manually and could not find stations.
I have a Samsung LCD750 TV with built in digital.
I have now lost all the channels on ArqA and ArqB (Pick TV,Dave,E4+1,Yesterday,Film4,4Music etc.).

I have lost Film4.ITV4 and Yesterday channels. I have done a retune but nothing happens.
I have been told there is another retune on the 20th November and could get these back but not guaranteed. Why should I lose channels that I previously received.

Brian (and others who know about this stuff within the industry and are trying to help) : it is clear from reading this, and my own experience, that there is a drastic problem with this Mux now it is on Ch 63. As far as I can tell, no-one in this part of Suffolk (Ipswich/Felixstowe) can pick this up properly anymore : I have a new wide-band aerial, I understand completely about retuning and have done so auto and manual : the signal quality is massively down on this Mux now it is on Ch 63 compared to Ch 50 (before 70-90% ; after <10%). If you read other posts on all the Sudbury threads, this is what everyone seems to be finding in this area, and further afield. Personally, I'm not THAT bothered as I have Sky too, and the missing channels are rarely watched in my house, but it needs to be accepted that this is a transmission problem, not an individual re-tuning/aerial problem.

The thing to note about Sudbury is that it actually consists of two masts, as shown:

MB21 explains that Sudbury B mast (the shorter one) was built in 1997 to facilitate broadcast of digital TV. It says that the signal is not omnidirectional. That is, it doesn't throw out as much signal in all directions (where as the main Sudbury mast does). It is to the south east of the mast where the signal isn't as strong.
At switchover, the main mast (that previously broadcast analogue) became the transmitter for the digital PSB muxes. The COMs remained on Sudbury B:

How this may be of relevance here, I'm unsure. Perhaps those who could pick up ArqB prior to the other day were on the fringe and a slight change of frequency has pushed them over the edge.
It has occured to me that they might have switched antenna for ArqB from Sudbury B top array to the one which broadcast Mux 2 (pre-DSO) which is below the others, but what can clearly be seen in some of those photographs (see ATV and mb21 links) as having a gap in one face (I can't make out which direction it is though). I would be surprised if they would have done this simply because this would obviously leave some without a signal who had it post-DSO. The question is, is this what has happened? (DN31NJ)
