My Freeview reception cuts out for about 1 second at non regular intervals. Coul
There are a few forms of interference that cause this kind of problem with Freeview reception:
- two stroke engines on motor scooters;
- unsupressed household powered equipment such as a fridge, freezer, washing machine, central heating etc;
- GSM (ie, not 3G) mobile phones.
The first will cause intermittent problems and can usually be resolved by using a larger aerial.
The household equipment problem can usually be sorted by using placing a "mains filter" on the plug of the Freeview box.
The third happens only when a mobile phone is left adjacent to the Freeview box or aerial.

Hello, I have a similar issue which differs slightly. I am on Crystal Palace and mux A went missing, having turned off a few appliances I have recovered the channels.
However, the sound on all channels for the mux is perfect but the video is "jittery". Why is this and is there anything I can do?
Many thanks

Hello, I have a clear view of Emley Moor mast so reception strength should be ok, I have a LG freeview tv which I can pick up all the channels but my ADSA pvr has lost some of the stations since digital switch over, I have retuned and checked pvr updates but to no avail, could it be that I need to get a new pvr?

David Gibbons: I would have a look at the Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page before you buy anything new.

Keith: You have to look at it from the point of view that the Lowestoft relay wasn't built for nothing, but because that reception from Tacolneston was less than satisfactory for many people in your area, and so is your aerial facing Tacolneston? this being located @ 25 miles away / 278 degrees on a horizontally polarised aerial, whereas Lowestoft is @ 2 miles / 25 degrees on vertical polarisation.
What signal strength indications are you getting on your TV or boxes check screen on any of the channels you are having a problem with, plus it would also be of assistance to know the model number of the device you are receiving on.

Have now lost all HD channels, and the strongest signal I can get is 5 most are 1 or 2. Before the signal strenghts were 10 or 8. What is the solution. I have the latest digital arial and a signal booster. Before 4G I had no problem.

Neville Langley: At the beginning of last month I bought a Blueray DVD/recorder Panasonic state of the art. I installed it and was very pleased with the HD reception and all the other standard freeview program receptions. Now a complete waste of money. Who is responsible for this?If it was OK last month what has happened to cause the failure now. Can anyone let me know what has changed to cause this. The faults apear on both sets even though they are sdeparate aerials trained in different directions.One to Sutton Coldfield and one to Winter Hill.

The aerials are both fixed to the Chimney and the house is one of the highest on the site
Have gone through the reset procedure that many times I have lost count.
