My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.
Sam: Judging by the fact that you reside in an appartment block you may be using a communal (shared) aerial system. Therefore it must be suspected that as all channels have failed it might be the aerial system that has failed.
It is worth enquiring with neighbours to see if they have the same issue, although you must ensure that they are using the terrestrial system and not satellite (Sky/Freesat) or cable TV (Virgin Media).

Slightly different EPG problem to what has been posted recently.
Everything works fin on my Thomson box except for having gaps in the TV guide.
These are random, affect different channels at different times, and change when the guide updates.
This is causing programs to fail to record if they are set, then end up in one of the gaps.
I really don't want to factory reset and lose all recordings again, did this a while back for another problem.
I have rescanned channels but have seen no change.

I have lost ITV1 and channel 4. I have done what you have suggested to no avail. It is on my main TV. The other TV's in the house are ok?
Please advise.

I have an LG 3dtv with built in freeview, the last few days the signal has been choppy on the freeview channels, bbc and itv were fine.
Last night we last all channels, freeview and bbc and itv, same this morning...ALL GONE.
I have unplugged, auto tuned channels back in and on several occassions not all channel listings came back. All channel listings are back now :) but still no signal.
Friend up road in similar post code area has NO channels too.
What is going on?

When will the new HD channels be available from the Hannington (VP) transmitter? I am located in Wiltshire (SP11) and have re-tuned my Freeview box three times since the 10th December but they are still not appearing!

Cancel my last! It should have read 'When will the new HD channels be available from the ROWRIDGE (VP) transmitter?'

Bazzer_D: It doesn't look like they will.
Rowridge will, according to Digital UK, broadcast the new HD services horizontally and at very low power with respect to the other multiplexes.
Looking at the predictor, you would appear to be in a great spot for reception from Hannington, including its new HD mux. Is there a reason you can't use it for all your viewing instead?

I have the same problem as Mark M.
I thought I needed to but a new box as I'd lost the EPG but by changing it to the 8 day it's back but with gaps in.
Any help to rectify this would be appreciated.
