I receive all free view channels through my Panasonic IDTV built in freeview with a strong signal , yet all channels from mux 2 ITV / C4 ETC show interference. Other quandaries are E4 shows interference yet E4 +1 is clear as a bell, can you give me a clue ?.

Peter: E4+1 is on COM5 multiplex whereas E4 is on PSB2.
Is this problem new?
Check that PSB2 is tuned to Winter Hill rather than Darwen or Haslingden.
Do this by viewing the signal strength screen on ITV. It should say C59 (778MHz) and not C39 (618.2MHz or 618MHz) for Darwen or C23 (490MHz) for Haslingden.
If it's on Haslingden or Darwen then run the scan through with the aerial unplugged for the first 45% or so.

NO. A dish is sued to receive the signals transmitted from a satellite in geostationary orbit, such as those transmitted for Sky and FreeSat. It cannot receive any terrestrial signals at all, such as Freeview. For that you need an aerial of the correct type fitted to your abode and aimed at the correct Freeview transmitter.

I have updated my Humax PVR-9300T today and have now lost a few channels including 11, 12, 17-19, 21,22,24,26,29,31,40-43,46. I have tried updating a few times but they have not come back.
My postdode is SY11 4QD, using the Wrekin transmitter.
Is there anyone else who has lost channels please?

Lucy Lilley: As Sutton Coldfield (or possibly Lark Stoke) would appear as being the stations used for Freeview reception in your area and which neither of is indicated as suffering from any problems, then "if" the no signal problem referred to still applies the reason for is liable to be down to a problem associated with your installation.
Should your row of houses be connected into a communal aerial system? (very difficult to see) then its best that you check with a neighbour to find out if they are also being affected before touching anything, if though they are not, then you should check any jumper leads used between your TV / box and the wall socket as well as making sure that any booster used (if?) in line is still powered up, although even if it appears to be it could still be defective and so temporarily bypass it by connecting the aerial straight into the TV / box.

For the last hour we have done all you have suggested, i will explain, i have a fairly new sky+HD box and every time we try to record a programme and turn over to another channel it says no satellte signal, and the recording cuts off, could you please give me any further suggestions as too what i can do thank you

Terrestrial TV signals do not travel that far under normal circumstances. Even the most powerful Freeview transmitter only has a range of little over 100kms! The nearest part of Europe would probably be Italy or Spain - and they are far too far away as well. Imagine how large the north to south measurement of Morocco or Algeria plus Niger or Chad, etc!

I suddenly cannot get ITV or Channel 4. We ive in London SE23 - Crystal Palace transmitter. Aerial is on roof and until yesterday we had practically no problems with reception. Use a Talk Talk Freeview box. Help!

Hi,could any one please advise?
When my PVR is on and recording if someone switches the bathroom light on upstairs it freezes the picture for a second of two and affects the sound which is annoying. it does not seem to do it if I am watching a previously recorded programme. It also happens when the electric toaster pops up in the kitchen. Is there a type of filter I could use. I thought it might be that the aerial wire in the wall is too close to mains circuit.
