By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.
(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).
UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

MikeP: No intrusion on your reply intended, as I was checking one or two of the details of what I had said and pressed post without checking.

No problem, we both just want to help resolve Jim's apparent problem. I find sometimes that apparently 'random' ideas contain a potential solution, so feel free to think freely. (Pardon the pun!).

An 'odd' query, please? Why is it that if we add a final comment in brackets they always disappear and are not shown in the posting? It happens only with such bracketted comments at the very end of a posting and it always happens! Any bracketted comments within the body of the posting always appear as expected.
Do you know why, please?

MikeP: Yes, it's a "secret" way of embedding a postcode, by putting it in brackets at the end of a post. Anything that looks like that is treated as one.
As this happens, there is a process that runs every so often to undo it.

MikeP: After re-processing about 30,000 comments, I have pulled apart the system that allowed the use of brackets at the end of a post for postcode system re-direction.
You can now end with a close bracket :-)

The signal is very intermittent, the picture and sound keep breaking up.
The aerial is just below the roof on the wall.

Mena Lawrence: Check that your tuned to the right transmitter. You should be Winter Hill, which is 30km away. But it could be that your tuned to Emley Moor, which is 87km away, but in pretty much the same direction, but has a slightly lower frequency.
If you are tuned into Winter Hill, check the signal strength, it should be no more than about 80% - could be too strong a signal.
If the signal is very low, then you've got a probelm with your aerial system, and you need to call someone out.

The BBCA frequency seems to have disappeared completely. I'm in DL8. We are on the light transmitter in Bainbridge. Does anybody know what is going on?
