Thanks for your comment, but that's not the case. I normally get COM7 the same as COM8. COM7 is currently lower, it's even lower than the Local multiplex! There's a problem which I'll have to report to Freeview later.
I'd suggest Ray E does the same. 0808-100-0288.

Without doing anything, this morning all COM7 channels returned but with extremely poor signal quality.
Signal level is steady at 66 but signal quality is fluctuating between 0 and 35. Neither are brilliant compared to other HD channels which show max. quality and strength.
On COM7 there are significant Post LDPC errors, 3.01e-04 while Pre LDPC are showing as 5.53e-02
As the day has gone on, reception has worsened to the point at 1pm I'm getting "No Signal" with signal quality 0 and signal level fluctuating between upper 50 and low 60.
I'm guessing that this may be an atmospheric problem as weather conditions here are still wet and windy.
I'll monitor COM7 channels later tonight once it's dark and weather has improved, forecast is reasonable for Friday so I'll check again then.

Not sure how significant this is or if it relates to the error correction problem but I've just noticed COM7 guard interval is 1/16 whereas it should be 1/128

The guard interval is correct, it is the same for COM8. Neither is the same as the PSB3/BBCB HD mux because COMs 7&8 are operating as SFNs (Single Frequency Networks) whereas the BBC HD mux is not.
The signal from COM7 is definitely down and it may currently be on the cusp of the cliff edge at your location so a slight change in atmospherics may account for the fact you now have had some signal and the atrocious very heavy rain at around 1pm will have caused sufficient attenuation for it to fall off the cliff edge again.

Reports on Digital Spy Freeview forum regarding CH55 problems since last Friday so that coincides with my experience. Looks like we'll need to wait until those responsible accept that there's a fault.

Mendip COM7 slowly improving from mid-morning today.
Signal quality into the mid 50% and signal level into the upper 60% sometimes into low 70s
Sound and video are now both steady and acceptable.

Have you reported this to Freeview (I used option 3). Unless they get several reports they will not get Arqiva to look at it. They will no doubt, based on experience, want you to check your system or get an aerial engineer in, you will need to be a bit persistent.
And for anyone else reading please do the same.

It occurred to me that being a SFN, many N of Mendip will also get quite a strong "additive" signal from Wenvoe. Wenvoe has planned Engineering this week with "Possible weak signal", so I thought it would be a good idea to check if this might be the cause. Well, I was informed that the work at Wenvoe is only on the Local mux, not COM7. Hmm.

Hope you've now got your COM7 signal back. It seems to be back at the correct level. Don't know exactly when the fault was fixed.

It wasn't a sudden improvement, it just slowly got better over about 7 days......I'm leaning towards weather conditions as the cause although I've never experienced such a degradation on a single mux before.
