alex: Looking at the DUK predicted reception in your area it would appear that you are within range of transmissions from Divis. Unfortunately the COM muxes are co-channel with the COM muxes from Darvel. Based on the assumption that propagation of C23 will be greater than C26 or C29, there is no prediction offered at all for SDN, with ArqA&B expected to be variable in availability (with reliable reception only about 50% of the time where it is available) In practice the prediction is only a rough guide! Positioning of the aerial so that it is in a null for unwanted signals from Divis, where this is possible, might offer a solution to problems with C29.

Colin: If your aerial is pointing to the Carmel transmiter, the frequency for ArqB which carries Film4 is now C49, as from 22nd May 2013.

Adams: If you normally receive ITV Central East from Stanton Moor, the frequency of the ITV multiplex has changed to C50. Do a manual tune on C50 , if this is possible with your receiver. Otherwise do a factory reset or first time install to delete the old frequency from the tuner's memory before re-scanning for channels.

ray sharp: Does the you view box ask you which region you prefer for first choice? If so select "Oxford" If there is no choice offered, because they are found first in the scan, it will simply put the Anglia channels from Sandy Heath in the normal positions in the channel list, then put alternative regions (eg Oxford) in the 800s of the channel list. On solution to this would be to stert the scan with the aerial unplugged in order to miss out the Sandy Heath PSBs, then plug the aerial in at about C49 in order to grab the Oxford signals.

Antony Portno: No, it rather suggests that you are able to receive BBC channels from more than one transmitter, possibly Waltham and Sutton Coldfield (and/or Belmont). It is not possible for individual channels within a particular multiplex to have differing signal strengths when they are from the same transmitter. Your receiver , having identified more than one variant of BBC1 must have put the strongest version in position "1" of the channel list, but initially ignored the stronger versions of the other BBC channels having stored identical, but weaker versions in the channel list. Either the weaker signal has now increased in strength to bring it over the threshold for reliable reception, or the tuner has now replaced the set of channels originally stored with the channels that accompany the prefered version of BBC1.

Pat: Further to the advice given by jb38, if you are using a communal aerial it is possible that an ajustment to the channel filters will be required to allow the new frequency through. If neighbours are having the same problem contact your landlord or property management company for assistance.

mr.h. dennis: I couldn't agree more with that sentiment. I have never understood why it was made a relay of Sutton Coldfield, especially as viewers in Repton were already receiving signals from Waltham, with the aid of high-gain aerials on 12foot poles!

michael r: To record tv on a satellite PVR you need one pair of cables from the dish. There are two input connections on the receiver, hence a pair of cables to supply signals to the box.
