It's a shame the Ofcome sitefinder data is almost a year out of date though :(
Ofcom | Sitefinder dataset
"The last update in May 2012 (as reflected in this spreadsheet) is based on the following datasets received by Ofcom: O2 (May 2012), Network Rail (April 2012), Hutchison (February 2012), Vodafone (October 2011), Airwave (February 2010), Orange (February 2010) and T-Mobile (August 2005). "

JANE OSBORN: Go to a BBC channel, then check either the signal strength screen or the manual retune option in the menu to see what UHF channel comes up. It should be UHF 49 if you are picking it up from Mendip, UHF 45 from Hannington (the latter would give a poorer signal).

ANDY: Winter Hill went "full digital" in 2009, are you saying you've had this EPG problem for 4 years?

ian collins: The only transmitter you are predicted to get it from is Craigkelly, on UHF channel 45. You should try a manual retune and see what signal level/quality comes up for C45.

Paul White: Looking at the Digital UK tradeview link to the side of your post, it seems like Carmel is predicted to give you a better signal than Kilvey Hill. So presuming you didn't put up a group A aerial, I would try and see what kind of signal Carmel's UHF channels give you by doing a manual retune.
HD channels depend on the equipment rather than the aerial, so if you don't have Freeview HD then you won't pick them up.

M Kingshott: If you're not getting Look East then clearly you aren't tuned in to Sandy Heath - Look North will be from Belmont.
You should do a manual retune after clearing the channel from you TV (first time installation/factory settings with aerial out) then add back the following UHF channel in the manual search option: 27 24 21 (HD) 51 52 48.

Mary Martin: Presumably it was a temporary problem, and you should be able to manually retune and get them back? At least you have the option of a Welsh transmitter if there's any problems.
On the 10th of April retune event at Winter Hill, the BBC channels will be lost until late afternoon, but should come back on their own.

Marcel: Dave is right, Amazon lists it as a "42-inch Widescreen Cinema Full HD 1080p 3D 100Hz LED TV with Freeview" and LG's own site just mentions Freeview: LG THE NEXT GENERATION 3D TV - 42LW450U - 42" Full HD LED Cinema 3D TV with 400Hz (MCI) - LG Electronics UK
I'm curious as to why you thought it would have Freeview HD - were you told by a salesperson this would have Freeview HD or was it just misreading the description?
