Simon : Then check your system - if that mux has gone, then the rest of your system must be on the edge, even though your very close to the transmitter.

Andrew Land: 75 % is supposed to be perfect - but if your getting a good picture with 100% Quality, then thats fine.
If you put your postcode into this site, it will bring up a load of links, which should tell you what channels and signal strength you should get. If they make sense, then dont worry about it.

David Mullett: Check that you are
a) Tuned to the correct transmitter - my HD box flipped over to another transmitter after the required retune, although it later corrected itself, and other people reported similar problems.
Obviously if your equipment has locked onto a transmitter much further away, then the HD channels might be the first to go.
b) check your system - if your losing the same mux from 3 different boxes, that sounds like a common cause - and dodgy aerial lead would be a reasonable guess. If your signal strength is low, then thats a good indicator.

Then it sounds like a retune problem (check), or a problem with the aerial itself. Panasonic/Humax both have sensitive tuners, and its not impossible for them to grab a very weak signal at a lower channel level.
Put your postcode into the site, and it will bring up a load of links, which include terrain, DigitalUK, etc. That one has compass bearings for transmitters, and its not a bad bet that there might be one on a similar bearing, with a lower set of channel numbers, but much further away.
But if your tuned to the right transmitter, and your signal strength is low, then its your aerial.

Alan Clark: As I've said previously,
a) check your signal strength - if its low, then you probably have a problem with your system. If its too high, and therefore channels are breaking up, there are easy ways to just bring signal strength down a touch. Since your 20km from Heathfield, thats distinctly possible.
b) Check your actually tuned to Heathfield. Have a look at the link for Digital UK - the bearing for Heathfield is very similar to Crystal Palace, and its possible that might be found first in a scan.

Dave Freeman: you can check with transmitter your supposed to be using, but frankly, transmitters simply dont have faults for that long, we'd all notice. So the most likely problem is simply your system. It could be as simple as the aerial has fallen out of the back of the set, but somewhere there is a fault on your system, and its likely you'll have to get a professional out.

John Broad: What do you mean by 'blotted'. If you mean they have vanished, then its more likely that your aerial has a fault. Try checking the connections and see if they come back.
You say you can't access the menu - is that because the remote doesnt work, or because the menu is locked with a PIN number? If you can find the manual, or simply give us the model/make (we could possibly find it for you online), then you might be able to reset it.
If the TV really is beyond help (and I suspect its not), then another decent 32, from a good brand (like the Samsung 32M5500), will cost around 300, and you can get that set up and tuned as well.
