A Group K aerial will cover all the UHF channels that multiplexes on Olivers Mount currently use or may ever use in the future if there were to be any further planned changes (of which there is no mention).
That said, it depends on where you are - if you are in a location that currently has weak reception of the COM multiplexes and possibly BBCB HD, then you might be better with a Group A which just covers the UHF channels currently used and might give a little more gain BUT it depends on exactly which aerial you may buy, not all makes are the same!
We'd need a full postcode to look at your predicted reception to possibly give more informed advice.
Whichever aerial, it should be mounted with it's rods vertically for Olivers Mount.

Can't find any reports of faults or outages at Crystal Palace or the Hemel Hemstead Relay, although Crystal Palace is currently listed for Planned Engineering with Possible effect on TV reception as "Screen may go black on some or all channels".
It's never advised to retune when you have no signal as this usually just clears the correct tuning.
You'll have to repeat a retune when you have signals back - which you may have to try several times as you can't be certain when that'll be!

Unfortunately posts can take an inordinate amount of time to appear on this site (the owner was going to investigate, and also after getting a fatal error message the post still appears), so patience is needed and to wait several minutes before checking if the post succeeded.
The Angus transmitter is currently listed for Planned Engineering with Possible effect on TV reception as "Possible Pixelation or flickering on some or all channels" which means dependant on aerial installation and particular location might mean complete loss of signal. So this is probably what you've experienced.
Do NOT retune when you have lost signal, this usually just clears the correct tuning and you'd have to retune again when your signals return, which you may have to repeat a few times as you can't be certain when that might be.

Which particular local station? Different ones might be carried on different multiplexes and they may be on different transmitters. And we can't advise which transmitters you might receive or the direction they are in, without a full postcode.
Is the one in the lounge near a window and what direction is that facing? Are there thicker walls in the way for the same direction in the bedroom?
Try repositioning the radio and/or its aerial, sometimes even inches can make a difference.
Also make sure there aren't any large metal objects nearby, eg. a filing cabinet or similar.

The Ibthorpe transmitter only has the Berks & North Hants Local mux on Block 12D: 229.072 MHz.
Can't find a specific coverage map for the transmitter but the Mux operated by NOW Digital has transmitters at Basingstoke, Bracknell, Dorking Cobbetts Lane (Yateley), Hannington, Hemdean, Hyde Farm Maidenhead, Ibthorpe, Membury, Newbury VHF which of course operate as an SFN and this is the coverage map for the mux -

This is probably what you are experiencing. It's worth checking all your coax connections etc. if the signal is weak, bad connections will not improve the situation.
