An indoor aerial is only likely to work for you if you live very close to a main transmitter. As you have not given a full post code we have no idea where you are in relation any of the over 1000 transmitters used for Freeview.
As StevensOnln1 states, a dish does not receive Freeview but could receive Freesat as long as you used a satellite receiver connected to it. Nearly all satellite installations use a screw-on 'F' connector and not a push in coaxial connector.
So please give your full post code and clarify what connections you have coming into the room in use.

You have to have a satelite receiver that has a manual tuning feature. It does not apply to a Freeview receiver.

It all depends on where you live exactly, Milton Keynes is too large an area for us to give any meaningful advice. So please provide a full post code.

Ukfree.tv does *nbot* reflect any of the BBC opinions at all. This website is totally independent of all broadcasters, is run by a private individual and we contributors have no connection with the BBC. We give our considered technical advice based on our knowledge of the systems in use to braodcast Freeview and Freesat.

We need your full post code to be entered into this website so that we can see what the signal reception conditions are like at your precise location.
I also use the Mendip transmitter and know there are no problems either reported or actual.

You should be using the Oxford transmitter for best reception. That is 32km away at 60 degrees east of north. There are no reported faults with the transmitter, so you may have a cable problem. Unplug all the coaxial plugs and sockets and refit them in the same positions are originally. Then check your recpetion again - do *not* try to retune.
Dave is on the same multiplex as Pick, Really, E4+1, Sky News, etc. Do you get all of these OK?

It is possible to install an aerail in your loft providing you keep it well away from any water tanks up there and you do not have any metalised insulation as part of your loft insulation (several houses use a foam type of insulation that has an aluminium layer) as that will prevent the aerial from receiving the Freeview signals you want. So it is usually easier to install it external to the loft, most often with a short pole mounted on the chimney stack with the aerial carefylly aimed towards you preferred transmitter that gives the best signal. If you add your fuyll post code you should see a set f blue boxes under your posting. The 'digitaluk trade' option will detail which transmitters are suitable for your location and the direction to aim your aerial.

I suggest you turn off the mains supply all your TV equipment, including any PVRs and STBs, wait five minutes and the turn the power back on and wait a further five minutes to allow the equipment to restart properly. Then check that everything is working correctly.

As far as I can elicit, Sky policy has not changed, so you should be able to use your Sky box for the 'free to air' channels. There is no way they can turn off your LNB (the receiving part of your dish system). So either the LNB has failed (it happens), or the cables have become damaged or the 'F' connectors are not fitted correctly.
Start by checking that all the connectors are correctly fitted, making sure that the inner conductor is entirely separate from the outher copper braid/sleeve. Then check for water ingress into the cable as that would indicate damage external to the room.
