Roger C: What are you trying to transmit? An aerial is just a piece of metal, it doesn't know or care whether it is transmitter or receiving. It's down to the equipment it's connected to as to whether it is transmitting or receiving a signal.

Elena-Elizabeth: There are no reported problems with the Lancaster transmitter and at 4km away you should be getting a good signal. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Retuning was a bad idea, as you have now deleted the missing channels when they were previously correctly tuned.

Ray chapman: Which transmitter are you receiving? Forces TV is carried on the COM8 multiplex which is only broadcast from 29 transmitters (along with BBC Four HD). Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitter you're using, where you are in relation to it and your predicted signal strength etc.

Charles Blundell: The Beaminster transmitter changed frequencies yesterday (according to the post above yours the work was completed at 11:30am) and you will therefore need to retune. If you are missing any channels which you previously received (or have poor signal strength) after retuning then you should contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) who can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable.

Malcolm Lewis: If it's happening at the same time every day then it's quite likely to be electrical interference from something in your home (or a near neighbour) operating on a timer.

Terry: This website has no connection with the company who operate the transmitters or any broadcaster. To offer any advice we need to know which transmitter you're using, so please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitters are available at your location, where you are in relation to them and your predicted coverage etc.

Lee: The Torquay Town transmitter has changed frequencies on 27th March, which may require a new aerial to be fitted. If you don't have satellite or cable you can contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) who can arrange for a replacement wideband aerial to be fitted free of charge.

Andrew: There are no regional versions of BBC 1 HD in England due to the huge cost of upgrading the studios, the links to the transmitters and the large amount of additional satellite capacity required. This is unlikely to change until plans are announced for BBC 1 to go HD only and close the SD versions.
