Upgrading from Sky to Freesat | Freesat
Sunday 4 December 2016 4:19PM

MikeP: All the Freesat channels are available free to air on a Sky box via the EPG without a viewing card. Unless you know of any that aren't?

H.Porcher: North Shropshire is served by LLangollen for the BBC national stations on FM. The Wrekin broadcasts BBC Radio Shropshire and Free Radio on FM. Signal 107 is also broadcast on FM from Heath Hill (covering Telford) and Shelton (covering Shrewsbury). These transmitters have all been broadcasting for many years with no changes to their coverage. No national stations have closed any FM transmitters and as no digital switchover has yet been announced for radio, no one is currently being forced over to DAB or any other means of receiving digital radio.

Mustard
Sunday 4 December 2016 11:03PM

Stephen kirman: As above, Mustard isn't available on satellite. There are very few channels available via your Sky box which aren't listed on the EPG. The main ones are probably other ITV regions than the one programmed on your viewing card, the link below gives a listing of all transponders/channels broadcast from from the 28.2E orbital position which your Sky dish will be receiving from.

Mr Mullarkey: Which channel are you referring to? This website is intended for technical help with TV and radio reception problems is not connected with any broadcaster.

khalid: You can if your TV has a satellite tuner input (screw connector) but not if it only has an input for a terrestrial input.

Gautham: Going by the coverage map at the top of this page, the Calne transmitter wouldn't cover Wootton Bassett. Mendip would likely be the best option but if you enter the postcode of your new property you'll be able to access a prediction of the transmitters available to you.

Meirion Hughes: BBC Four HD has been on Freeview (on the COM7 multiplex) since the HD version was launched a few years ago, however it is not broadcast from any transmitter which covers Brighton.

john: There are recent notices of engineering work for Weymouth so it's probably related to that. Don't attempt to retune, just wait and transmission should resume within the next few hours.

Hayley Galliott: The transmitter engineering post above yours shows that the transmitter came back on at 11:40 this morning. Did you attempt to retune when it went off earlier? If you did, that would have deleted all your channels so you'll need to retune again. If you haven't retuned so far today then don't, as your TV/box will already be correctly tuned and retuning whilst not receiving a signal would delete your channels.
