James Knights: I can't see any engineering work listed for Sudbury and although you are 38km away you are predicted to receive a strong signal on all multiplexes. Are both TVs connected to the same aerial? If so, is there either a powered amplifier or passive splitter to split the cable? As a starting point, it would be worth checking all the cables and connections as far as you can safely access and also check that the amplifier is powered on if there is one.

Adrian : All BBC One HD regions have launched on satellite and cable. Half of them launched on Freeview last month and the remaining regions are due to launch on Freeview next week, replacing the current national BBC One HD on channel 101.

Richard Sutton: Just to confirm Chris' info, digitalbitrate.com monitor Ridge Hill's PSB2(West) mux from their scanner in Worcester (see link below) which indicates it is broadcast on 538MHz (UHF channel 29) using QPSK modulation and carries ITV1 as it's only video stream (the remaining 5-6Mbps of capacity that isn't used for associated audio/data is packed out with null packets).

Nicholas Anderson: Presumably the aerial was pointed at Wenvoe rather than Mendip. If you put the postcode into the Freeview detailed coverage checker (see link below) you'll be able to see whether Mendip (or any of it's relays) are predicted to be receivable.

BBC One HD

The BBC have today completed the rollout of the final batch of BBC One HD regions on Freeview. This means that all DVB-T2/HD TVs/boxes/PVRs should now receive the correct version of BBC One HD (the same region as that received for BBC One SD) which replaces the England-wide version of BBC One HD on LCN 101.

BBC One HD

Chris.SE: I've been out all day the last couple of days and haven't watched any TV news. Freeview is the final platform to have the rollout of BBC One HD regions completed, they've all been available on satellite and cable for some time now, so it's not as if this is the first time that any particular region has been available in HD.

Mrs. Pocock : We need a full postcode to see the predicted coverage at your location. Also, please note that the contributors to this website are all volunteers who have no connection with any broadcaster or the company running the transmitters.
