What signal strength and quality do you get for COM8 now that it has moved UHF channel 56? Your existing wideband aerial covers all UHF channels used for Freeview both now and in the next 10+ years so there is unlikely to be any need to replace it (unless it gets damaged). Group T is essentially wideband but without the 800MHz band which is now used for 4G mobile services.

Dax: There don't appear to have been any frequency changes at Sandy Heath yet (according to Digital UK the first frequency changes at Sandy Heath will take place on 6th June). Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? COM7 & COM8 are broadcast at a much lower power level than the main muxes so any problems are likely to show up with weak signal on COM7/8 first.

Bren: Have you tried a manual tune on UHF channel 37 (the new frequency which COM5 has moved to on Waltham)? Official information can be found at the link below, along with details of the Freeview Advice Line, who can arrange a free visit from an accredited installer if you need a new aerial following the frequency changes (provided you don't have satellite/cable on any TV in your house).

Mardler : BBC Four HD is on the COM8 multiplex, which changed frequency at Tacolneston to UHF channel 56 yesterday. Have you tried a manual tune on UHF channel 56? There has been no change for BBC News HD on COM7, however it will be moving to UHF channel 55 on 6th June.

Bren: Sky News is not on the same mux as Forces TV. You appear to have become confused by the frequency change. Sky News is on COM5 (where is has always been) which has moved to UHF channel 37. Forces TV is on COM8 which has moved to UHF channel 56.

John P: Pick and Dave are on COM5 which changed frequency at Waltham yesterday and can now be found on UHF channel 37. The weak COM5 signal on C45 is probably from Sutton Coldfield.

Bren: COM7 & COM8 are not disappearing until somewhere between summer 2020 and 2022. They are moving to form single frequency networks on UHF channels 55 and 56 in the centre of the 700MHz band which is being cleared for future 4G/5G mobile services. COM8 is broadcast at 13.35kW from Waltham, not 1.5kW, however the broadcast power level can't be directly compared as the local mux uses a different broadcast mode which is much more robust and can be more easily received at a lower signal strength (at the expense of having much lower capacity).

Reg: PBS America is not broadcast from Sudbury (nor is FreeSports which is the page you've posted on).

Russ: Never. COM7 & COM8 are temporary multiplexes which are broadcast from 30 main transmitters covering around 70% of UK households and are expected to close somewhere between Summer 2020 and 2022. FreeSports is available on Freesat, along with almost every channel found on Freeview as well as numerous others.

Sarah : The was removed from Freeview today (there doesn't appear to have been any prior announcement). Its capacity is now being used to broadcast Sony Crime Channel +1.
