sbmarlborough: The information you have is correct. Digital UK are responsible for the SWITCHOVER and the BBC are responsible for RECEPTION PROBLEMS, taking over from Ofcom. See Broadcaster complaints details | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

john: Yes, you can watch the free-to-air HD channels, BBC One HD, BBC HD and ITV1 HD. I think most people have reported leaving the card in the machine provides Channel 4 HD too.

Steve: The best thing to do is to connect the aerial to the TV, there is no point connecting it to the Sky box as you are using SCART/HDMI for Sky.

Steve Maxted: The current Freeview signal from Dover is your best choice.

As long as you have a rooftop aerial, you should have excellent reception on all multiplex except multiplex B, and this will be fixed in 2012 at switchover.

Anthony: It is free in the sense of not requiring a subscription. You don't need an internet connection to watch Freeview.
