Trevor Harris: ... and the easiest way to get people to stop using FM is to tell them you're going to switch it off.
It's not really "18 years" - the service was a "test broadcast" until about 2003.
Most of the FM radios are sold in equipment that people are buying anyway. As I pointed out above, it costs close to nothing to add an FM radio to any device, it doesn't mean that people are using them.

Trevor Harris: BBC Four HD will be launching as soon as the Freeview HD extra multiplexes are on air.
According to Al Jazeera, this is going to be "before Christmas".

We know one other will be Al Jazerra HD. Al Jazeera launches new Freeview HD wave
Channel 4 said they would provide "at least one" HD channel (Film4 HD seems likely).
Leaving six we don't know.
I'm guessing the BBC three HD going on 105 says that Channel 5 HD isn't likely.
Remember that Sky have "exclusive" agreements with some HD providers.

Al Jazeera HD is being broadcast from Crystal Palace.

John Clemence: BBC FOUR HD/CBeebies HD as well as BBC News HD will be starting on the two new HD multiplexes.
CBBC and BBC three have the highest viewing figures, it makes sense for them to go first.
