Robert Keedwell: The site isn't confusing. If you had put your postcode into the 'site settings' at the top right hand corner of the page before asking the question, you'd get 'your' area. You'd then get a load of links (in blue) beside your question, which, when clicked, would take you to Digital Uk tradesview, etc.

The Digital Tradeview will give you the best transmitters, how good they might be for you, distance, etc. The actual transmitter info will show the RF its transmitting on, so you can manually tune it.

Really, its not that difficult.

Robert Keedwell: Where does your aerial point? Hutton is vertically polarised. If you want to receive the COM muxes these are only available from Wenvoe which uses horizontal polarisation.

The picture on the TV in my home office is very pixelated and sometimes blank. The audio is a bit better but not great. The EPG is fully updated and the system time correct.

I moved the TV to another aerial point in the house and the problem is the same. I have reset the TV, retuned the TV and it has picked up even more channels - still the picture is pixelated.

My bedroom TV has the same problem but not quite as bad.

I also have BT Vision and that is working fine.

My postcode is CM8 1TZ and my aerial is on the roof.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

dvae: Your box isnt by any chance a Huawie brand? as this is well known fault with these boxes and which Talk Talk (if you obtained it from them) is well aware of.

Should that said be applicable then I would contact them.

Graham guthrie: Are you absolutely sure that you have purchased a TV capable of actually receiving HD transmissions and not just an HD ready type? have a look in the user manual / specifications / and check that DVB-T2 is seen and "not" just DVB-T which refers to a normal SD tuner.

If you experience any difficulties in finding out the necessary info this can be checked out for you if you supply the model number of the TV.
