My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Paul: The Panasonic and the transmitter are perfectly compatable! I have no idea why some muxs should be fine, and the others rubbish, considering they are both being attenuated to the same level. This sounds like a job for JB38, etc!
One thing though - try using the lead from the Richer Sounds TV on the Panasonic - does it make a difference?

MikeB: The Richer Sounds is "plumbed in" so to speak but I could try a kettle lead from one of my guitar amps. For now Its the Panasonic for BBC ch4 and tiny tv for dave and the rest. It's a poser alright! I will try pairing back the screen cable on my aerial too.

MikeB: Tried switching power leads, no change. However I have noticed that Dave has improved in terms of quality! whoop. Dave+1 & Yesterday are worse than ever? I think I may wait a week or so to see if things resolve themselves. I recon work taking place at Sandy Heath is behind all this, or maybe atmospheric conditions?

MikeB: The fact that this signal quality issue is so distinct and so pronounced makes me wonder.

MikeB: Yes, I am using the same aerial input on both TVs, just unplugging from one to the other. That is what's so baffling. Richer sounds TV is no problem. When I tune to the problem channels on the Panasonic, it can start ok but soon, within 30 seconds or so, the signal quality starts to yoyo. The same tv is solid as a rock on BBC, CH 4&5. There is something about certain stations which confuses only the Panansonic.

Paul : Now you have proven that the problem referred to is purely confined to your Panasonic Plasma TV, the reception of Sandy's COM5 (C52) and COM6 (C48) Muxes apparently being OK on your smaller set, two possible reasons for this springs to mind.
The first being a glitch having occurred in the tuner. You state (15th @3.49pm) having already tried wiping then rescanning the channels, but did you carry this out using the "shipping condition" reset?, as this procedure is the "only" option available when attempting to overcome tuner glitch problems.
If though the aforementioned was tried, but failed to made any difference, then something you have already touched on might be required, insomuch a software update. The problem there being, that software updates for this model could well have been discontinued due to the age of the TV in question, (dates back to late 2008) a check made by myself not having found any, the only way of finding out for certain being by contacting Panasonic, likewise having sent a request to same to clarify the issue.
That said, irrespective of whether software updates are still available or not, it has to be said, that defects can sometimes occur in a tuner of a non-rectifiable nature.

Why is it that I only seem to lose ITV/C4 Channels on a Saturday night?! It does sometimes happen during the week, but not so often. It's really annoying!!
