My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Just bought a new Bush Slim TV with built in freeview to replace my old tv and freeview box and have now lost multiplex 2. I have tried resetting everything as per this page but to no avail. The annoying thing is that the tv downstairs is fine and receives them. I have nothing plugged into mine and the downstairs only as the vcr and dvd. Any help greatly appreciated as am pulling my hair out, my postcode is WF2 and its the Emley mast I use.
Cheers

Missing channels on Sony IDTV.
Both other freeview boxes in house working fine - so its not a signal problem.
Have twice carried out the suggested remedy but still missing 2 A and C!

I'm using a Sony LCDTV with built-in freeview. Reception was fine until the afternoon of 28th April. Since then, my TV has reported "poor reception" for all channels (both digital and analogue). Right now, following the re-scanning procedure described here, I see "no services have been found" for digital, and virtually no picture for any channel on analogue. I'm using a shared aerial in an apartment block which is inaccessible to me.

Hi, since last week I've been missing multiplex 2 and A. I've tried all sorts and everything recommended on here. I've got a roof aerial and my postcode is LE5 1WA. Is this something that is going to be temporary? Thanks James

Hi Brian, HP19 7BG, still awful signal strength on all channels, even the ones it locks onto. Do I maybe need to get someone in to point my aerial in another direction?

Have no EPG for BBC Radio channels or for BBC Four from around midnight on Sunday 1st May. Has been like this for a day or so. EPG for other channels is there. Any help please? I'd like to be able to set up recording more than a day or two in advance!Otherwise has been fine since retuning after April 13th except that it asks if we want East Midlands or Cambs/Beds channels, and on choosing the latter it puts EM ITV channels in the 3-5 range and the East Anglia channels in 800s!
