Every evening at various times between 18:30 hours and 19:30 hours we get serious interference whilst watching Freeview. It doesn't matter which channel as they are all the same. We are not switching anything on or off in the house that could cause a problem. We use the Sandy Heath transmitter as do most of our village. ANY IDEA'S, as this is driving us crazy. When this happens the TV is unwatchable.

We are on the Sudbury Transmitter. After changeover and retuning got great pictures. About 4 weeks ago they started to break up and have gradually got worse and worse. Sometimes in an evening we can view. Radio on T.V also affected. T.V is a no go area. Is it going to improve. Sometimes not all programmes.

Olwyn Llewellyn: My Dad has the same problem and it began at the same time. Free view is pretty awful here with a crap signal and many of the channels unwatchable. It makes you wonder why we bothered with switchover at all. My own signal is so bad tat I have had to switch to Sky free to air.

Intermittent problem with Freeview on all HD channels only. When scenes change, a half second drop out occurs (like a slow wink) this can also happen when their is no scene change, but less often.
Signal strength is very good, Kempston, (Sandy Heath)
tested outdoor and loft aerial, no difference,
any ideas?

stev3c: As you are not that terribly far away from the Sandy transmitter you should beware of the possibility of receiving a signal that's a bit over the top in strength, so purely for test purposes if you have access to a set top aerial you should give that a try, or even a short length of wire (600mm or so) pushed into the inner part of the aerial socket.
The only reason I suggest this test is, that over powerful signals can cause all sorts of odd problems in a devices tuner, this resulting in false indications being seen of the signal strength / quality received.

Over the last 2 weeks I have lost all ITV Channels although Friday they appeared again for 24 hours and then went. I live at RH16 3L (Haywards Heath)and have received Freeview from Heathfield without problems for 2 years until now. All equipment has been checked and the arial has not moved. I wonder if others have had similar problems.
And why this has suddenly happened.

Does anybody else have intermittent problems with the sound breaking up on Freeview in the Guildford area? It happens mainly on Multiplex D (ITV4, Film4), but we have had it on Itv3 as well. The picture is fine all of the time.
Postcode is GU11DN. Using TV Onics DTR HD500. We have even tried changing the aerial but to no avail. John
