Briantist: Regarding the transmitters still using C61 and C62, according to Digital UK most Emley Moor group relay transmitters are already using their final allocations of C39+, C40+, C49 or C50. The exception to this was, as you correctly listed, Keighley which still uses C61 and its dependant relay Skipton is currently using C49 until 2013.

KMJ,Derby: I use http://stakeholders.ofcom….pdf as the "primary source" and it still lists Armitage Bridge, Batley, Cornholme, Cragg Vale, Elland, Headingley, Holmfirth, Keighley, Millhouse Green, Ripponden, Shatton Edge, Stocksbridge, Wheatley, Oliver's Mount (ArqB) on C61 and Weaverthorpe, Dronfield, Beecroft Hill, Bradford West, Cleckheaton, Copley, Cullingworth, Hagg Wood, Holmfield, Longwood Edge, Oughtibridge, Wincobank on C62.
If Ofcom are wrong they should update their document...?

DSO for Northern Ireland is Oct 2012. Any idea when HD and RTE transmissions will start before that date?

Briantist: All these changes (including the Meridian, London and NI changes) are already in the table incorporated into the licences, available at Ofcom | Supplementary licence documents in relation to DSO ('Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Stations for Multiplex Licences' or 'Table of Digital Stations')
I'm actually surprised they've provided new documents in the 'DSO Details' section for the three regions yet to switch. I'd assumed that they wouldn't be updated further, given that there were three updates to the licences table at the end of last year without corresponding updates to 'DSO Details'.
There are a few notes in the 'DSO Details' documents not in 'Table of Digital Stations', in particular places where BBC A will start up on one frequency and then change to another at stage 2.

Pat Hughes: As you might expect, the switchover date for the RoI is also 24th October 2012.

Yes but I had heard that sometime this year RTE1 and 2 would be available on the Freeview system in the Belfast area. (normally you need a separate aerial pointing to Carlingford to get RTE).
I'm just wondering if this information is true?

Pat Hughes: About 90% of people in NI will be able to get a "special multiplex" - BBC News - TG4 to be broadcast on freeview .
This will provide RT1, RT 2 and TG4 from three transmitters located in Northern Ireland: Black Mountain at 2kW, Brougher Mountain at 1kW, and Carnmoney Hill at 16kW.

Pat Hughes: Note that Divis will not carry these services though. A separate aerial may therefore be needed for those without one on one of the three transmitters mentioned by Briantist.
A Freeview HD receiver will be needed, standard definition only receivers won't work.

Dave Lindsay: BT Vision boxes will be OK, however, as they have MPEG4 built-in for their streaming services.
