How do I change the RF output channel on a Sky Digibox?
Press the [SERVICES] button and then press [4] [0] [1] then [SELECT]
Then press [4] to go to the RF output menu.
You can now change the value so that it does not clash with an analogue TV channel or a Freeview multiplex.
HD and "new EPG" boxes
If you have a HD box, press [SERVICES] button and then press [0] [0] [1] then [SELECT]. Nothing is shown on the TV screen until you press the Select button. Then use the [RIGHT] arrow button on the remote until this screen is shown, and press SELECT to change the values:

iain: What you have mentioned strongly suggests that its the powered splitter at fault, as its not exactly unknown for their internal power supply to fail, you should go up to the loft and temporarily by-pass the splitter by coupling its input directly to the feed going to one of the TV's and check on that TV if the Sky signal has come back up again.
It would also have been of assistance to know your location (pref: post code) just to ensure you are not in an area where transmitter switchover activities are taking place, this only mentioned as you are looping signals via the Sky box.

neil cromarty : On having a look at the posting you referred to are you meaning that there is no picture on the TV in the bedroom? and if this is the case then are you sure that the RF modulators channel on the Sky box has not altered from whatever you had set it to.
Of course if you are not sure what channel it was set on before then just carry out an "analogue" re-scan on the bedroom TV and it will find it, although it would have been of assistance to have knowledge of your location to be able to advise on the channels NOT to use for the Sky boxes RF output, this just in case it will clash with any of the Freeview signals which I assume are possibly also being looped through the Sky box.

Chris: If your Bush TV is of the dual standard type whereby its capable of Freeview
reception as well as Analogue then have you got it set on the latter, as the Sky boxes RF output is analogue.
I am rather intrigued though with what you mean by "coil", as neither the Sky box nor the TV have anything of that description, at least as far as being of a replaceable nature that is.

chris: If another TV can receive the Sky boxes RF2 output OK using the "same" coax link as the TV that wont, then that TV must be suffering from an intermittent problem.
That said, does the magic eye connected to the TV stay illuminated whilst you are carrying out the "analogue" scan to pick the Sky boxes RF2 output, and have you tried scanning without the magic eye in line? although if you do try the latter remember to temporarily change the Sky boxes coax link over from RF2 to RF1 so as NOT to have any power going into the TV's aerial socket or it "might" short circuit the eye's power supply, this being dependant on the TV's input circuitry.

jb38: I have a problem with my sky hd box, or rather the picture on a tv using the magic eye. Digital pictures from terrestial tv are perfect. Yet the analogue picture from the sky hd box is grainy. I live in CW7 1NX, can you suggest some channels to try or avoid using. Remote tv is a LG 19" lcd
