By providing a full postcode (such as W1A 1AA), national grid reference (for example SE123456) or latitude, longitude pair (like 54, -0.5) this page will provide a map, terrain plot and detailed information of the location showing the UK and RoI television transmitters that it is possible you receive Freeview, Freeview HD, Youview, BT TV and Saorview from.

(Don't know your postcode? Find it at Post Office Postcode finder).

UK Free TV uniquely shows you transmitter coverage maps, aerial to transmitter terrain plots, the closest 10 mobile phone masts (for possible 5G-at-800 interference) as well as tabulated information (sorted by direction, by received signal strength, by frequency, by service names or by transmitter name).

I have a TV in the Lounge and one in the Kitchen, both connected to the same aerial.
ch 800 brings in itv news from The West, which I like, but chy 800 in ths lounge brings in Itv Midlands.
Why is this ?
I would like to be able to see ITV West news on either of them

chriselda: Thanks for the confirmation re aerial mounting, I did suspect that it would be mounted this way and facing towards the local Charmouth transmitter as a terrain check from Stockland Hill had indicated the signal path as being severely obstructed starting from just under 4 miles away and right up to nearly 0.5 miles of your location.

However as far as not being able to receive anything other than the BBC programmes are concerned, when taking into consideration all that you have already tried prior to posting a query, which on the face of it anyway would suggest that you used the correct procedure, then I cant really see any way forward except by making a local enquiry with a neighbour purely to find out whether or not they are "presently" able to view ITV1, the reason for saying this being just in case there are any problems with the ITV transmitter as TX fault reporting sites would not indicate this, these only giving info on BBC transmitters.

As far as the TV's model number is concerned, I realise that it might be a bit inconvenient to try and gain access to the rear of the set, but using one of LG's manuals for reference purposes could you verify (or not) that when you say entering Ch44 results in a "no signal" message this is when using the : set up - select manual tuning - select DTV - select desired channel number procedure?

Another thing to try is to go into "set up" and select "diagnostics", this being where the only channel listed should be the BBC on Ch47 (indicated under the "engineering diagnostics" heading) then whilst keeping an eye on the indicator bar wiggle the jumper lead that goes into the TV's aerial socket just to ensure that your problem is not being caused by a faulty connector.

Mike Robins: Although Ridge Hill is indicated as being the station that covers your area it would appear that the lounge TV has picked up the signal from one of the other transmitters, therefore to take the guesswork out of the equation as more than one transmitter is listed, select the 800 channel that the news service required is on and carry out a signal level check for the purpose of noting the mux channel number associated with the signal level reading, this then revealing the station that the service is being broadcast from.

ITV1 Ridge Hill C25 / Malvern C57 / Sutton Coldfield C46 / The Wrekin C23.

The aspect that rather puzzles me though is that you have two TV's with ITV news services taking up an 800 position, and as 800 is always used by duplicate channel listings then what news service do you have in programme guide No3 position?

Bronislaw: Film4 is now being broadcast on the PSB2 multiplex used by STV, have you carried out a retune in the last few days? as that action is required to update the programme guide.

Although it should not be strictly necessary to do this, but if you have any problems with receiving (15) Film4 then carry out a "first time installation" or "factory reset".

Bronislaw: A retune was required on 31st July as a couple of multiplexes moved frequencies - you would be missing Film4 and STV, so you should retune.

Our signal comes from Central Scotland.
Both Freeview boxes in our house have reset their defaults and lost all recording schedule some time between last night and this afternoon. Was there any change to transmission which might have caused that? We've had issues with one of the boxes in the past, but the oldest box has never done this before.
