My Sky box has a "no signal message" - what do I do?
If you are getting the message "no signal" this would indicate that there is a problem with the signal from your dish into your box. Even without a card inserted into a Sky Digibox, if there is a signal, you will always get Sky Guide and the free channels.
Try powering off your box, remove the card, check carefully the cables, especially the connection to the dish, reapply the power and then when asked to insert your card you should then be able to see (for example) Sky News on 501 and the BBC News channel on 503.
Once you can see any channel, reinsert your card. This should, after about one minute, give you the channels you expect, such as 103, 104 and 105.
There are three ways you can attempt to reset your box. Please see
What can my do when my Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' ?.
If you continue to get "No signal", you dish may have been misaligned, or there may be a fault with the cables and connectors, or a problem with the Digibox. You can see the signal strength by pressing SERVICES, then 4-SYSTEM SETUP and 6-SIGNAL STRENGTH.

I recently changed my sky (multiroom) box to a sky+ box which when I installed worked only 2 days later some channels were missing saying no signal until eventually no signal on any channel I called sky who said I have a wiring issue and therefore need to pay them to come out . I have gone back to my original box which is working just fine on all channels !!!! As the +box was my aunts ive been told to reset the box which I have but still not recieving signal. Any ideas????

mel:
If the box still does not work after a reboot then there is clearly an issue with the box.
Even if the box was working at your aunts house, they never choose a specific time to develop a fault.

Faraz: If the box in question has been disconnected from the mains and its LNB input feed being swapped over with one used by one of your other boxes that's known to be OK, then if when you power the box up again and the result of its "searching for listings" is another "no signal" message then its almost guaranteed that its internal power supply has failed, something not exactly unheard of in older boxes.

Faraz: In addition to that said, prior to carrying the out the aforementioned check that the boxes LNB settings are as below.
Procedure:
1. Press sky followed by services.
2. Highlight "System Setup" and press select.
3. Press "0 then 1 then select".
4. Press select again to access the LNB setup screen.
5. Press the red button to re-set the default settings.
6. Using the up/down arrows, highlight "Save New Settings" and press select.
7. Press select to confirm that the settings have been reset.
The correct settings are:
- 9.75 for the low frequency.
- 10.60 for the high frequency.
- The LNB power supply should always be set to on.
- The 22KHz Command should always be set to on.

Just noticed a typo when reading this page:
If you continue to get "No signal", you dish may have been misaligned,
It should be your dish.

Hi our sky + hd box says no signal , we have tries re powering.
In a sky box upstairs works fine it's not hd
We unplugged and put our old sky + in and that is fine , it just seems to be the sky +hd .?
We have tried 2 boxes now so it can't be the box

Linda: If the disconnecting from the mains procedure has not resolved the problem then the next step is to try a "new installation" as per the undermentioned instructions.
1 : Press "Services" on your Sky remote and you'll see the "Options" menu highlighted.
2 : Press the right arrow to select "Settings" then press on same.
3 : Press (in smooth succession) " 0 - 1 - Select" to view the set up screen.
4 : Press the right arrows to highlight "Install" which then changes to "New Install" then press "select".
5: Follow the instructions on your TV screen until you see the message"Installation Complete" displayed then press select.
Further info dependant on feedback..
That said is on the assumption that you have tried swapping the two input feed cables over whilst the box was disconnected from the mains?

I have the Sky Guide, but neither channel shows the programme. This morning everything was alright, but at 10pm I could not follow any programme whatsoever.

Sirs,
ACCOUNT .220023881125
I have recently arranged by telephone with Sky viewing certain programs for a monthly payment of £13.50. It was agreed that instead of paying £10 for the use of recording facilities only, that I could follow light entertainment for that price, too.
When I turned on Sky today, I found to my amazement that not only light entertainment channels were taken off, but also all BBC and ITV channels, the news and everything that belonged to FreeView package.
You have taken £18.50 last month, and you will presumably take £13.50 this month, but will you please explain to me what is going on with my channels and what will £13.50 cover?
You do not seem to answer to my correspondence.
Regards,
Dobrivoje Vlajcic
