I am missing a transmission multiplex?
If you are missing a single multiplex on a single frequency, it may be that you have a local source of interference - such as a VCR, games console or Sky Digibox - causing the problem rather than a poor signal from the aerial.
Try eliminating any such devices, and if one does appear to cause the problem, change it's RF output channel to a new value.

Kev,Chippenham. That could be a possibility if as you implied your new neighbours using some equipment could suddenly introduce interference.
It is unlikely though that more channels crammed into each mux will weaken the signal quality as such.
One other likely candidate that you mentioned only affectimg the BBCA multiplex on frequency 61 from Mendip the highest frequency used on this transmitter as such is possible aerial erosion.Check your main aerial lead and its main aerial plug as well as the aerial socket(s) of that main aerial itself for any signs of water ingress and rust stains as the highest frequencies suffer more in this situation than the lower frequencies.
If aerial erosion is the culprit then you may need to replace either the main aerial if it is eroding or the eroding main aerial lead and main aerial plug.
Or if it is an internal connection such as an aerial co-ax lead or plug that is at fault, that requires replacing as such !

I am an aerial installer and recently I erected and outside aerial. Region: N.Ireland (Group A 18 E Yagi). The TV that it's connected to has 'built-in' Freeview but I cant get any of the channels on the D3+D4 multiplexer i.e ITV, CH4, CH5 etc.The signal is 'solid' on all the channels received so it doesnt seem to be a 'weak signal 'problem. I've even temporarily boosted the I/P signal just to be on the safe side; same result. I've been through setting the receiver to DEFAULT then First Installation procedure etc etc yet the result is still the same. The signal to the aerial is from the Brougher Mountain/Divis area.
Note; Channel 3,4,5 is occupied by BBC3,BBC4 (off hand i forget what's in position 5).

Joe: Which transmitter are you using? Divis or Brougher Mountain?
The two transmitters' digital channels are the same before switchover, albeit that most of opposite offsets.
If you are using Brougher Mountain, then Mux 2 is on C34+ and Divis' Mux D is also on C34+. Perhaps this explains the lower transmission power of the latter (relative to most other channels from Divis).
Could the issue be interference from the other station?
Brougher Mountain
- Mux 1 C30+ 500W
- Mux 2 C34+ 500W
- Mux A C23+ 500W
- Mux B C26+ 500W
- Mux C C29+ 500W
- Mux D C33+ 500W
Divis
- Mux 1 C29 2.3kW
- Mux 2 C33- 2.3kW
- Mux A C23- 2.3kW
- Mux B C26- 2.3kW
- Mux C C48 2kW
- Mux D C34+ 1.6kW

I put up a new aerial in feb and got all channels. Over the past 4 weeks I have now lost all mux A channels (itv3, quest etc) on all 4 TVs and Bt vision. Tried realigning the aerial today, but still no luck! Any ideas? Sutton coldfield transmitter. Thanks

I have just moved to a flat in London SW12 9LH and have a rooftop aerial with nothing nearby to block line of sight. The aerial is aligned with others in the street (to my eye), I expect to Crystal Palace. I am missing 2 multiplexes completely - BBCA and ARQA - on my Sony Freeview TV. Other multiplexes are fine, with signal strength which varies between Good and Strong. The aerial is analogue - it's not a Wideband TV aerial. There are no Sky dishes, games consoles etc around the aerial or TV. As I have goos signal on most channels, is it likely just to be a need to replace the aerial? Or could it be more fundamental? Thanks

Andrew Robinson: At such close proximity to the transmitter, unless there is an issue with the aerial, then the most likely issue is too high a signal level:

A wideband aerial isn't required for Crystal Palace as all channels are still within Group A, and even if they weren't, at your distance it may well not matter.

Multiplex COM6 on channel 28 missing. Postcode SO22 4QS.
I have recently lost channel 28 on my Freeview tuners; 3 x Integrated Panasonic TVs and 1 x Panasonic HDD Recorder. All other mulitplexes are OK; PSB1 (CH24), PSB2 (CH27), PSB3 (CH21), COM4 (CH25) and COM5 (CH22). All received channels have a Signal Quality of 10 (except CH25 which reports SQ=6 but still displays ok) and signal strength is consistently 9 or 10. I have tried numerous auto re-set and then a manual tune which returned No Signal on CH28.
I live high up with almost 'line of sight' (excepting for curvature of the earth) and 45km from Rowridge transmitter on the IoW. The only slight issue is that my aerial has to be in the loft due to planning covenants. I further suspect my aerial may be a 'wideband' unit; 9 elements in the form of shallow Xs on their side and a 6 element (3 up / 3 dn) reflector. It should perhaps be an 18 element Group A Yagi? This doesn't really explain things as all other group A channels are fine.
Hope somebody can throw some light on this as I really would like to watch the Tour de France on ITV4 (which was fine in 2013).
Many thanks.

Hi I have had all freeview channels for a year then suddenly some channels had poor signal, when I retuned my box I lost a few channels which turns out to be al the channels on multiplex com6.
I am in Ferndown and was wondering if anybody had any information on anything that may have caused this
Thank you

Kevin clarke: I know Ferndown, and you should be getting a good signal from Rowbridge. If the signal has been going for a while, its likely your system has a problem, perhaps a loose connection, frayed cable, etc. Start by checking your aerial lead and work backwards.
